He sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake. He knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness’ sake. This lighthearted song is a bit more ominous in the context of other Christmas traditions. Major child death trigger warnings!!!
as someone who has lost a child, I absolutely cannot tell you enough if this is a triggee for you, DO NOT READ OR LISTEN TO THIS. It isnt what I would personally consider a trigger but even I felt as though it was way, way too much. Too many dead children. Hinting at men eating babies. Just no.
