Not a story as such.

First if you are looking at this because the new TV show Haven says it's based on it then you should know only a couple of characters were LOOSELY based on characters in this book. This book gives you no back story to the show.

Second this is more of a commentary about the difference between stories and true mysteries. As they often mention in this book, this story has no plot or "through line" as they put it. I would not say the book is bad but if you are looking for a "story" then keep looking.

It's an okay story but if you're a fan of the TV show "Haven" this has nothing to do with it. So I feel a little duped. but that isn't Audibles fault.

Good story... not typical Stephen King!

This isn't a typical Stephen King book. It's good... but in a "gets you thinkin'" kind of a way :-) Nothing supernatural about it.

Passed the time

Narration was pretty good. Story lagged. Was left kind of disappointed. I've read and listened to about 20 of Stephen's stories. I'm usually entertained. Was not much so with this one.

Great narrative for a dandy story!

Love Stephen King’s story! Nobody spins a yarn better than he does, his characters are always unique

short, descriptive, and intriguing.

This author is so descriptive. I love in Maine and I had to stop this and put it back a few times to catch the kaleidoscope of vivid descriptors, just so I didn't miss anything. I had watched the Television show "Haven" which was based off this book and expected something different, but this still kept me guessing. This did not disappoint. I still love Vince and Dave.

Best narrator!

While not a “classic” Stephen King story, great plot, stellar characters and perfect narration that reels you in from start to finish!
