Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It is a revist to stories that you have already read or heard if your a King fan. I was surprised to find that I knew all of these stories. I had thought this was a different collection.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

It's a King book which makes it interesting as the majority of his stories are page turners. The least interesting is that this is again stories that I already have from previous books.

Have you listened to any of Stephen King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this was the first time I've had an audio book where Stephen King was the narrator. It was a very pleasant surprise.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Neither it was pleasant.

Blood and Smoke

chilling, i was not a stephen king fan, but now i am. it's scary though!

One of the best audiobooks I've ever listened to!

This has always been a go to pick for a quick audio-book fix when I'm not sure what it is I really want to listen to. Stephen King, just as his writing, envelops the listener into the world he's created with his incredible voice. There's something special about listening to a book being read by the one who wrote it. King brings his characters and world to life in a way that only he can, and it's always a pleasure to hear. I highly recommend this to those who love King, obviously, as well as those who want to hear some of the best short stories King's ever written. I truly think that 1408 is one of my favorite works from King, it's right up there with 'Lunch at the Gotham Cafe' (the first story in this collection) and 'Under the Dome' (which I consider to be one of King's best works to date that I've personally read)

Give this a listen if you love King, because only he can bring you into his writing in such a spectacular way. The moment this book is over, if you're like me, it'll only leave you wanting more as you click to replay.

Lol. Not my first round with this collection, but I still cannot get enough of Lunch at the Gothem Cafe. It always gets me rolling. Definately creepy, but totally enjoyable.

Smokers

I got this when it first came out and thought it was great. King should do another set of stories on smokers or non-smokers or sort-of-smokers, whatever that group is!
