Publisher's summary
High Praise for the Julia Lives in a Van Cozy Mystery Series
"This was a nice start for an interesting-sounding series I found on Kindle Unlimited. I love the little beagle, Toby. And Dottie, Julia's new friend and camping neighbor was probably my favorite character. I wasn't really sure whodunit, so I just followed along as the three new friends (Dot, Pen and Julia) found leads and did their sleuthing."
Tari H. (Review of Book One in the Julia Lives in a Van Series)
"There are many cozy mysteries available, but many just aren't captivating and I quickly lose interest. These 3 books, however were very good and I can't wait until the next one is available!"
Cabinfever (Review of Box Set of Books One through Three of the Julia Lives in a Van Series)
The Case of the Kantankerous Kite, Book Four in the Julia Lives in a Van Cozy Mystery Series
After twenty years of less than perfect marriage to a less than ideal husband, Julia Ross decides she's had enough of living life the way you're "supposed" to. She sells the house and everything in it, then sets off on a camping adventure, living out of her minivan and camping in some of the most beautiful places on Earth.
In the Case of the Kantankerous Kite, book four in the Julia Lives in a Van cozy mystery series, Julia heads to the Everglades to participate in a census of endangered birds with her nomading friends Dottie and Penelope. Julia's never been to the Everglades, and she's expecting to spend a month counting endangered birds, riding her bike, roasting s'mores by the campfire, and enjoying her new life with her friends and her four-legged canine traveling companion, Toby.
That's what she's expecting.
That's NOT what she gets!
Things start to go wrong the moment Julia arrives at the campground. For one thing, the place is overrun with cyclists who are there to participate in the annual Flamingo to Everglades City bicycle race. For another, the star racer is found mysteriously dead the day before the race starts. And, to add insult to injury, Julia's on-again, off-again boyfriend dives headlong into another relationship.
As usual, the authorities get the whole whodunit part wrong and arrest the wrong person. Despite her protests, Julia is dragged headlong into solving yet another murder mystery.
The Case of the Kantankerous Kite is the fourth book in the Julia Lives in a Van cozy mystery series. All of the books in this cozy series are completely safe to read. There's no swearing, no gore, no angst, and no sex. What does that leave you with? A great story set in the beautiful and wild Everglades with great characters and, of course, Julia's ever-present canine companion, Toby.

Story
In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Story
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy.
