About this listen

When Clio conned her way into the Underworld, her job was to steal magic that could protect her homeland. Instead, she escaped with the rebel son of a notorious spell weaver family. And in the process, she exposed his most calamitous spell, putting her people - and all magic - in peril.

Now she and Lyre face two impossible feats: Recover his creation, and do it before his family catches up to them. But when the spell is unleashed with devastating results, caution is no longer an option.

Clio and Lyre's only chance lies in combining their strength, but to make it out alive, they'll need magic more dangerous than they've ever wielded before. And if they fail, the realms will pay the price.

EXCELLENT ENDING

The conclusion for Lyre's and Clio's adventure is good. Their love for each other has matured and I hope there will more books to come on them. It also touched on the beginning of Lyre's and Ash's friendship. All in all a very satisfactory ending. Annette Marie is indeed a talented writer.

Excellent ending

What an excellent ending to this series! I love finding out Lyre’s backstory and I cannot wait to read/listen to Blackfire when it is released!

There is More.... and I'm here for it.

My girl Clio finally came into her own. She got bolder and stronger and I loved it. Lyre FINALLY owned his feelings and came into his own self. They both grew and evolved together. This book had me screaming, laughing, and yelling throughout the journey they took. If a book doesn't have you emotionally involved, then you're reading the wrong thing. This book was EPIC!!!!

Story was good because the narrators were so good

While the story was interesting, I cannot get over Greg Tremblay's voices. They were absolutely great! It made the characters really come to life. Too bad I guess this was the last book. I wanted to hear more of/from him. But will see what the next works sound like.

Fact Check

Book was great, however there is the distraction when the Autumn 'Solstice' comes up...needs to be changed to 'Equinox' to fix the distraction :)

I'm not ashamed to say I enjoyed it.

I will say that it was a little more pg than I expected given the way it was categorized. I enjoyed the series very much though. I loved the friendship that blossoms between Ash and Lyre. I just generally enjoyed the storyline. I would read other books set in this world, involving these characters. I love the authors descriptions and the action sequences are gripping. aAnd the love story is great of course. I connected with the characters and I liked it very much.

Great story but I’m new to this

I feel that the love parts was a bit much but fantastic. I just wish I was wealthy enough to explore more of your stuff.
