Hilarious and insightful

Thought I’d just be carefree, Womping it up the whole time, but the incredible cast of contributors left me with some ground shaking wisdom. Sarri Gilman’s bit on boundaries had me crying tears of realization. Off to get her books now!

Entertaining

Pros: entertains; good examples; overall good points/advice
Cons: The authors should take their own advice and not bring up politics. At every chance the authors have they bring up their political viewpoints. It definitely took away the point of the book because it made the listener think politics rather than small talk.

Such a fun vibe!

These two best friends really shined together while helping me understand more about small talk. By the end of the book I honestly feel like I learned something and hope to try chatting with strangers more.

The conversation between the two authors

Love the examples and how you guys brought Tony along the journey. The one thing i dislike about this audiobook is the transitions between topics. I felt like my brain was going all over the place with the side tangent

Just ok

Cute stories but I didn't really learn anything useful. If you want to become a better small talker it's best to read books by experts who delve a little deeper into the introvert mind.

Among the best audiobooks I've heard in 2024. Fun

Funny and informative. Who can't use a little help talking to strangers? Practical guide to the do's and don't's of small talk with personal stories and advice from experts like Malcolm Gladwell and Amy Poehler.

The casual conversational style plays more like a podcast, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

A perfect audiobook

Casey and Jessica are knowledgeable, charming, and funny. What a delightful listening experience. I am a fan of both from their podcasts, but anyone would enjoy this lovely romp through the art of small talk. With perfect celebrity interviews and even a moving poem in the end, this is a tight little book with no filler and no dragging parts. Highly highly recommend!

This helped me so much!

As an introvert and someone who hates small talk because I am not good at it, this book has taught me so much and I am now much more comfortable in social situations. It is also very entertaining and light. So much more than what I thought this would be!
