What a nice surprise!

I periodically like to try books from authors that I've not heard of. This sounded interesting, and I just love Scott Brick! I REALLY enjoyed this book! I played it straight through- have done nothing for the past day and a half! The book is well-researched, exciting, and just plain good. I highly recommend it!

Great Story

I have read most of the Cotton Malone books. This is my first Audible Steve Barry book, and after reading the summary and the reviews, I didn’t know what to expect. I liked the performance and the story, but it took me a while to get interested in the characters and for them to be believable. Overall, I began to really enjoy the story once I understood the character’s motives.

Scott Brick is as good as always

Slow book to start, and not one to download if you're not into a detailed history of art, but the plot thickened nicely and Scott Brick is as talented as always in his narration.

Pleasant - Not Great - Just Pleasant

I love the works of Steve Berry. Thus, I listened to the Amber Room on a long road trip when I could take it in,in two uninterrupted installments. It did pleasantly help the passage of time. But…I was not really drawn into the story the way other works by Berry have done. Yes I liked it but…there’s that darn “but” again…it did not grab me. The book flowed. The characters were well defined. But…the plot was of mild interest. Maybe you have to be a German or Russian to care about the Amber Room. Steve did not make me care. Who was killing whom and why was intriguing but (O K, however)…not enough to keep me riveted. I do recommend the Amber Room for long road trips when you want to help the passage of time except when you want a spellbinding listen.

A must read for everyone

This novel was written so well, and with such fine details I believe any mature reader would fall in love with it.

A history buff, a thrill seeker, or a casual novel reader can pick this book up and understand the depth and perfect situations crafted by Steve Berry.

Audio books are also my favorite format to consume books now because I can perform other small tasks while enjoying amazing books like this.

Amber Room

Interesting, lots to learn, great characters, exciting, shows a good understanding of human emotions. I am sure many will enjoy this book.

I never heard of a room created out of Amber found the whole book fascinating and informative.

The whole story was very interesting and entertaining as well as informative. Would recommend anyone that enjoys tales of World War and such to read or listen.
