Exceptional Wisdom!

I cannot recommend this book highly enough! I have been working with children for 18 years: 5 of those spent in early childhood centers such as daycares and preschools, 13 as a mother to boys, and 10 as a professional educator. In that time, I have read many of the parenting, child training, and education books in the publishing industry. **This book is undoubtedly the most applicable in the raising of boys (of any age) to become good men.** I will read this book again and will recommend it to the parents I work with in my profession as an educator. I can attest to the fact that more parents, myself very much included, need to soak in this wisdom from pediatrician and mother, Dr. Meg Meeker. All Meg's parenting publications are a breeze to read or listen through, and her perspective on parenting and explanation of ins and outs of being a successful parent and raising highly functioning adults is beyond amazing. Read it, you'll know what I mean.

Wonderful guide for mothers/female caretakers of boys

This author came highly recommended to me for several of her other books. This book was as helpful as her others. I took several notes while reading, as I feel her examples and techniques are extremely valuable. I highly recommend this book to any woman raising a son.

Overall, a solid parenting book

Overall, I feel like this an excellent book on parenting boys, and think all women should read it. The author is clearly Christian, but she has sections dedicated to considering faith rather than peppering it throughout the whole book, which I appreciated.

I loved this but needed it also 35 years ago . However I learned so much about boys from the book. It is helping me with my grandsons and I feel a better understanding of my husband . The only criticism is the voice used to record it became very boorish . Hard to listen to .... but I did . Thanks I have recommended it to several people.
