Two generations. Three love stories. One epic family.

The Darcy family is the oldest in Derbyshire, and Pemberley has been their home for 12 generations. It has seen their loves, their losses, their triumphs, and heartbreaks.

This sweeping saga of tragedy, devotion, and betrayal - spanning over 25 years and two generations - follows the Darcy family in all its shame and glory.

From Lady Anne’s perfect graciousness to George Darcy’s unwavering devotion, we see the friendships that formed each iconic character and the circumstances that shaped the man we have come to love. To understand Mr. Darcy, one must first understand Pemberley.

Wonderful Story and Naration

This might be my favorite story this author has written. The narrator did a wonderful job with all the characters. Her voice is very pleasant and you can tell she read the book well before recording to make sure her intonation and expression matched how the characters and their dialogue were written. The best I have ever heard so far.

Top of my favorite P&P variations

I had just finished listening to another variation narrated by Elizabeth Grace, who I just loved listening to and I stumbled onto this book. When I saw that Elizabeth Adams wrote it I was all in, and it didn't disappoint! I loved how the characters were portrayed in the story. Some were portrayed extremely different and others perfectly similar. This is one I will listen to multiple times! Highly recommend this one!!
There was the glitch of the missing ending of chapter 28.

Compelling, Emotional

The author’s book blurb perfectly describes it. I found it to be a very original and believable story that will grab your emotions from the onset with a life-saving rescue.

Anne Darcy is alive throughout the book, and her influence and actions have a bearing on people within and without her immediate family. There are new characters, and a new female cousin to Fitzwilliam and Richard, Marianne, plays a primary role. I loved her personality, and the letters between her and Fitzwilliam are quite entertaining. I also loved Darcy’s heart in this story, both as a boy, an adolescent, and a man.

The story of the Wickham family also presents itself in the book—and only Elizabeth Adams could make me feel sorry for, and actually like—George. (no Lydia, no Ramsgate, thank you!) Well done!

So very well written, the dialogue among all the characters flows well and is captivating throughout. This is much more than a Darcy-Elizabeth story. Highly recommend. Have tissues handy.

Elizabeth Grace provides an excellent presentation for this memorable story. I absolutely love this book and highly recommend both versions.

A family history told beautifully

If you have ever wanted to have more Darcy siblings and their backstory this is the book for you. There is a strong friendship between George Darcy and Mr Wickham that is told through out the story. We are given glimpses into the Darcy family’s happiness, sorrows, and lives ultimately bringing the family to hertfordshire and the Bennets. I absolutely loved this book and the narrator was awesome.

A wonderful epic story!

Loved this audiobook! It was beautifully written, the characters were well developed. As I listened there were many times I thought that this could easily be made into British TV show become the next big hit. This is so good it's now in my top 3 P&P variation books!

The Story: the chapters are a mix of past and present stories following the life of George Darcy (past) and his son Fitzwilliam Darcy (present) and everyone around them. What's great is that you get many points of view and are not limited to the main characters. It will make you feel all kinds of emotions as good stories tend to do and leaves you content.

The narration: Elizabeth Grace did an excellent job with the voices. Each one was distinct and the male voices are great! Absolutely loved that she adds a little dramatization to the narration! For example: If someone is laughing you hear it in the character's voice. Her voice is soothing and narration style immerses you in the story.

This one is definitely worth the credit! This is my first Elizabeth Adams book but I'll certainly be looking into her other titles, hoping to find another gem.

Incredible storyline

What can I say? I am again moved to tears of grief and joy with bouts of laughter in between by another book by Ms Adams.

I truly enjoyed the narration except the end of chapter 28 is missing. It abruptly cuts off in the middle of a sentence and goes to the next chapter.
