Narrator brings book and its characters to life
This book was brought to life by the narrator. His voice is so mellow and just right for this book. By subtly changing his voice for different characters, you knew who they were. That being said, I have a bad habit of staying up all night reading books, even those I have read many times. My husband is getting desperate so I tried this audible book. It is so lovely to have someone read me to sleep, At 70 years old, this book is better than a lullaby at night. But also wonderful to listen to during the day. I look forward to sharing this book with my husband who likes to read quantum physics for fun. C. J. Petit is my favorite author and “Slow John” has a great storyline for all times of day.

Loved this story
It was real! I love the fact that C J Petit doesn’t feel the need to make love making just that, love making, not erotica. I also enjoy the details of the individual guns.

The necessary gun fights to rid the evil men
The stories of Mr Petit are all well thought out. But I think the sex scenes he writes are unnecessary. It would be just as well that he say they went to bed and made love. Full stop.

Slow John
This is an excellent book. I was totally invested in John's Character right from the start. John comes home from the army and finds his family has moved out west. They think he's been killed in the army. On John's trip he meets a woman named Kate. There is a good story line with Kate and John. They are the Two main characters. I could not stop listening to this book. It's that good. It's written perfect.I think it's well worth a credit or buying. Michael Alan White does an excellent job narrating this book.
