About this listen

It’s not every day that a vengeful god lays claim to your soul.

When Emlyn Graves woke up that morning, he thought he’d be doing what he always did: working the land, drinking at the inn, and warding off the agents of the tyrannical local baron.

But when his soul is corrupted by a new dark master, Emlyn is forced to use his god’s gifts to survive and to fulfil a prophecy with the potential to change the world forever.

Emlyn’s choice is simple: embrace an eternity of infernal torment or accept his fate and become the worst kind of hero imaginable.

Heart-pounding and crammed full of superpower-wielding cowboys, thriller author Rey S. Morfin will take you on a journey that you won't soon forget.

adventuresome

A well-paced adventure in an Old West-style setting amid the pantheon of gods and their acolytes. The story can be a stand-alone, as it wraps up fairly neatly. The characters are interesting and there is plenty of action.

Excellent entertainment!

What can happen in a world where Cowboys are pitted against each other by ancient gods to fulfill a prophecy? Skullsinger provides an interesting glimpse in to such a world. I had no idea what to expect for this story, I received an offer of a review copy of the audiobook from the author and after looking at the cover I figured I’d give it a listen. Mr. Morfin has created a world populated by cowboys, and regular folks engaged in not just living hand to mouth, but in trying to survive in a hardscrabble world ruled by despots, not to mention being put in the middle of these battles between the gods and their acolytes. To say this story is entertaining is an understatement, not only is it action-packed, but there are also several twists that leave the listener/reader realizing they can’t predict the course of this story. Ken Petrie does an excellent job of bring each character and the story to life.

Better than expected

I wasn't sure what this story was going to be about, but I enjoyed it. I'm not even sure what genre it would fall into. It was a form of good vs evil, gods vs mortals and a love story on the side. It was enemies becoming friends and lots of action. A very interesting story and worth listening to
