About this listen

Two sisters, one dangerous truth....

One hot August night, Rachel Darcy gets the call everyone fears. It's the police. Her younger sister Evie's had a car crash; she's in a coma. Can Rachel fly to London right away?

With Evie injured and comatose, Rachel is left to pick up the pieces of her sister's life. But it's hard fitting them together, especially when she really doesn't like what she sees. Why was Evie driving when she doesn't even own a license? Who is the man living in her flat and claiming Evie is his girlfriend? How come she has never heard of him?

The more mysteries Rachel uncovers, the more she starts asking herself how well she ever really knew her sister. And then she begins to wonder if the crash was really the accident everybody says it is. Back in hospital, Evie, trapped inside an unresponsive body, is desperately trying to wake up. Because she's got an urgent message for Rachel - a warning that could just save both their lives....

5 stars really enjoyed

Gave 5 stars because the story was interesting and held my interest from the start. I really enjoyed the narrators/performers. Their accents of England and Ireland enhanced the story. I recommend the book because of these reasons.

I'm 7.5 hours in, and I'm not sure I can finish...

Of course I normally finish a book before writing a review, but I'm just not sure I can. I am currently 7 and a half hours in to this 10 and a half hour story... only 3 hours to go... but...
The characters are so unlikable and the narration is often cringe worthy (especially when the narrator of Eve does an American accent). I find that although I want to know how it ends, ( which is the only reason I gave it the two stars I did instead of returning it) I get so agitated listening to the story of these two women that I can hardly wait for it to be over. There is no one to cheer for, because this far in, I still don't like the characters or the book.
***Update: I made myself finish it, but for me, it never got better. Definitely a wasted credit, and worse than a waste of time, because it was irritating as well.
