Loved This One

I'm on book 18 of the Winter Black series, and it's grown a bit stale. Took a chance on this because the book reviews on Amazon are great. I don't understand why the audiobook is rated so low. I love the narrator. The plot was pretty simple, but it was refreshing to read a book where the protagonist didn't have a serial killer or prostitute sibling that creates endless mental gymnastics, like in the other series. This book cut a large portion of the endless repetitive thoughts the other series has, and which bored me. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Great love story

The back ground story presented in the beginning of the book was thriller all the way however as I continued to listen I expected much more intensity and climactic situations. However, if you appreciate a good love story, with strength, hope and dedication, you'll enjoy this story. The performance was great and the way God brought the two characters together was definitely a testimony of God's divine intervention.

I really enjoyed this story and it kept me on my toes all the was through.!
The narrator did a great job. I wish she would have used a lower voice for Rebecca, though. The voice used made her seem little girlish, in my opinion.
The ending was abrupt and that's why the 4 star review. It's obvious that the purpose was to get the reader to purchase another book. Still, a couple more sentences regarding Rebecca's future would have helped so much.

I enjoyed this book. I wish the end was a little different but I thought it was well written and the characters were interesting

Great character development!

Characters were real! Storyline was believable and moved along nicely! Will probably have to purchase the rest of the series or else you feel like you lost touch with a real friend!!

Abruptly ends

The overall story was pretty good, but the ending was terrible. Yes, I understand that it was a cliffhanger, but it made me so mad at the way it ended, It just seems to be lazy writing. I buy a lot of mystery series, but I’ve never had one in almost in the middle of a sentence. I probably won’t buy the rest of the series.

I liked how the story kept moving. Didn’t bog down and get boring.

Rebecca was interesting and kept you wanting to know what was going to happen next.

Great mystery. Narrator needs more practice.

Female narrator tone , volume and inflections do not match reasonable situational dialog based on expected norms.
