Great story teller.

Micheal the characters were developed wonderfully. The story kept you coming back for more. The Shadow Knights are the bomb. I hope to hear you do something in the future with this group of characters.

Wonderful book, I loved everything

There wasn't much I disliked. I loved everything in this book. I'm not too happy about the scene at the end because I don't like it when people put cliffhangers at the end of a book series.
The first 2 books were more about Veron being a successful businessman or worker which made them feel slow, and the second book was way too predictable. But the third book always kept me on my toes and increased my love for all the characters

Sooooooo Good!

This series was so good I really enjoyed it. Every single page, word, moment, all of it is really really good.

If you like, epic fantasy stories, this is a really good one, the whole series. Although I think there are two more books after the first three, but if you wanted, it could end here. I like this as a trilogy right now, because the other two books aren’t on audible.

If the next two books end up on audible, I will absolutely listen to them.

Tim Campbell is such a great narrator. He brings these characters life and everyone gets their own voice. It’s such a pleasure listening to him.

predictable problems for the main character.

overall pretty good. the "be overly nice guy" trait in the main character was getting old.

Character’s dialog and behavior stopped aligning with their statements and previous intentions

I enjoyed book 1 very much, book 2 was also enjoyable, but by book 3 character’s actions don’t match with their previous statements or with their previous points of view. The story arc overall is a good one but the details, explanations, and dialogue are sloppy compared to the author’s previous work.

Disappointing ending to such a good trilogy.

I enjoyed the other 2 books in this series a great deal. I feel like Michael Webb got a bit lazy in this book. Everything that happened was easily telegraphed and left no room for excitement. This goes beyond the ending being "known" from the first book. Everything was a bit cheesy and off-putting. I would have loved for this book to have been given the time and plot development it deserved.

On the other hand, Tim Cambell did a fantastic job performing this book, and the entire series. I will be looking for more work by him in the future.

Very predictable

All in all the series was good however it all became way to predictable. Somewhere around halfway through the 3rd book I literally had guessed every aspect of what was to come. The author had a good story but the main character constantly falling for traps/tricks got tiresome. Honestly had I known the first book would be written and end this way I’m not certain I would’ve started the series.

Standard Fantasy

Good. Pretty standard fantasy, thought is was very predictable. Again, good, not great, not bad.
