Fantastic Story

I thought was written very well and just gets better in following 3 books, but the ending leaves you hanging, you never find out what happens to the great characters of the sagas. please tell if there is a final book that tells us what happen to our heros. Please.

Pleasantly surprised!

I was just looking for a entertaining low IQ listen and was soo surprised by the quality of the writing, story, and well developed characters. The narration is also fantastic. I highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoys fantasy.

Creative and interesting

Really enjoyed this book. The story caught my attention right away and held it. Great characters and conflicts. I love how the author expresses himself-vivid images and powerful descriptions of dramatic and intense events without descending into profanity or vulgarity.

Great book and a great read

Surprisingly good! Good pick up story!

I sometimes find myself in a dead gap of nothing to do when I tackle multiple book series and get to a point where I don’t want to start a new one even though there are no new books in my dozens of series for months. I got this as it leans into something I have been brainstorming myself. Surprisingly, fantastic, well-rounded characters, and though I could easily predict who certain people were, a few minor breadcrumbs of “something more going on” have captivated me. My internal detective wants more, and thankfully, this story is well-written with likable, lovable, respectable characters. There are some I don’t even like, but they are meant to be disliked based on how they are written. Well done. Now GIVE ME MORE!!!!

This is everything fantasy should be!

I took a chance on this audiobook and I'm so glad I did. The world-building was solid, but the character development and the weaves of intrigue is what impressed me most. Elyon's maturation throughout was believable and rewarding. Saska's story was a good balance of running, escape-type entertaining mixed with the training and development to set up the events of the next book. Even the assassin is someone I could relate to and sympathize with. This story has everything, and what's more, it's evident based on the set-up that we've only just begun exploring this world. This is everything epic fantasy should be and more. Superb!

Very good book

I enjoyed the book and the sequence of stories were easy to follow and each character was interesting
I suggest this book to all people interested in the middle ages with a twist.

Sucked me in and didn't let me go.

I chose this book for Steven Brand and thoroughly enjoyed. For reference I didn't love GoT and Brandon Sanderson is a favorite. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

Great Launch to the Series!!

This book had great pacing and was exceptionally well told from all different points of view from the different characters setting them up for what seems to be an incredible series. The voices were done really well I really enjoyed it.
