About this listen

Nationally syndicated radio host and columnist Michael L. Brown provides a handbook for a biblically based moral and cultural renaissance, revealing that the key to recapturing America's greatness consists in returning to our spiritual and moral roots.

America is at a tipping point, and never has this been more apparent than right now. We are in danger of losing our spiritual and moral heritage, making many believe that we have fallen beyond the point of recovery. This book is here to say that yes, we have fallen. In fact fallen much further than we realize, but our country's best days are ahead - with the help of a radical, moral, and cultural revolution, beginning with the church. This book is a manual for the revolution.

On all fronts Americans are talking about the need for revolution, arguing from the left and the right that "the status quo must go!" This book comes at just the right time, as people are wondering what in the world has happened to our country - from homes to college campuses, from the inner cities to the White House, from our national debt to the material found on our computers and TV screens. In clear, compelling prose, Brown covers topics ranging from the sexualization of pop culture to the dumbing down of our schools, to the undermining of family structures, and to a pervasive culture of entitlement while pointing consistently to the Bible's solution to these issues. A radical call for reformation written with sobriety and hope, Saving a Sick America provides the inspiration and guidance necessary for a moral and cultural revolution.

Awesome

I’m encouraged by this book. I to embrace that revival is needed for America with that revival starting with me. Thank you Lord for the passion you’ve placed in Mr. Browns heart. In the parable of the sower, if we push through we are guaranteed results. Thank you!

Great book

highlighted many great points that is missing in the church today.
the only way to save a sick America is for America to return to its great physician, Jesus Christ, King of Kings, Lord of lords and the captain of our salvation.

Detailed Clarity; Practical Truth

Dr. Brown clearly and effectively communicates the foundation and decline of America, and the steps needed for correction. In order to save a sick America, we must allow the Lord to address our sick selves. Clear content that is ready to be practically applied.
The narrator does a good job as well. He reads clearly, in a measured rhythm, and does a good job of not getting between the reader and the text.

Answer: The church being more Christian

Story was good, narrator was good. I was hoping the book was more holistic in nature with a more profound, multi-layered and methodical approach to solving the problems America faces. I've been studying this challenge for some time and think maybe I need to be the one to create this through my ministry because I haven't found it yet! This book covers the broader picture and focuses on what Christians can do individually to improve our Christian character. It is about how the American church can become more authentic in its Christian witness to the rest of the nation.
