About this listen

To the outside world, Heath Bailey has it all - looks, wealth, women - the good life. But appearances can be deceiving. All he’s ever wanted was a wife, two-point-four children, and the house with a white picket fence. The “dream”. But that dream dies with the demise of his marriage.

All Danica Brand wants is for her father to leave her be, to forget she exists. Her father, on the other hand, knows she’s a sure thing when he’s in trouble, and she's the first person he turns to. But when he causes her to lose her job, Danica has a huge problem on her hands.

Heath devises a plan that will solve both their problems - for Danica to have his baby.

In his mind, surrogacy is the perfect answer. What could possibly go wrong? Right?

Cute story

This was a very easy book to listen too - good narrators for each character. Fun book nothing to serious - great!!!

Just okay

This was not my favorite story from this world, and I think that may have just been how the story was presented. Instead of just telling the story in a linear format, it starts with "3 years ago" then goes to "18 months ago" and so on, instead of just starting the 3 years ago as present day and hopping forward. It just threw me off. And possibly because of the way it jumped time, we didn't really get to see these two fall in love. I'd have loved to have seen more of them making the move and going through the process to get pregnant, it would have added so much more to their story. But it was nice to see Graham and who I believe was Chance later on (though there was no accent given to him in the audiobook, so not quite sure) as it's always nice to see the OGs make an appearance.

Clinical to love

i love how this starts out as a clinical story of Heath needing a woman, Danica, to carry his baby to a love match. There's a hint of danger wither her father's problems, but they end up falling in love in the process.

just eh

really that's all just Eh. the story was rushed. Too much fast forwarding feeling. You could get a sense for the characters but it felt like listening to a middle schoolers decent story. for class but romance with 2 rushed spicey scenes.

a kin to a drive through romance read/listen with a half a packet of mild sauce.

Narration was fine. I just wouldn't use a credit knowing what I know now.
