Acerca de esta escucha

Yavapai County in Arizona Territory was bigger than Pennsylvania, and Sheriff Sam Hicks and his three deputies were the only law that most of its residents knew. When China Joe’s gang knocked off the huge cash shipment heading for Prescott, Sheriff Hicks left his office unsure if this would be his last job one way or the other. He knew he had to retire soon, he didn’t expect to be alive in six months, whether it was from a .44 or his failing heart.

It was after his horse died in the pursuit and he had to find a temporary replacement that he made another discovery that had an even bigger impact on his life.

Great story. For a page or two it did get slow. But again picked up pace. Very good story with wonderful ending.

Good book

This is a great western. There is a good storyline. Also good characters. Starting out Sam goes after a gang that robs a stagecoach. Then he meets a woman that's acting strange. Then a Pinkerton guy shows up looking for a woman. Sam figures out it's this woman Jessica Harrison. She is accused of kidnapping a little boy. Sam figures there's more to the story. He doesn't like the Pinkerton agent. Sam goes on and helps Jessica with her issues with her boy. Michael Alan White does a good job narrating this book.
