Difficult to pause listening.
Ethics and Values build the very foundation of a dynasty rarely discussed in portrayal of America's history. Refreshing and very entertaining. Resulting in my purchase of more work done by an exceptional writer.

Great story!
The story of Alex Paine will make you feel, see and live with the time and the characters. I enjoy C.J. Petit’s books and encourage everyone who loves a good Western to read or listen to one written by him. They’re really good! The narration and performance brings the story alive and he’s excellent. I’m on to read “Joe Beck”by none other then C.J. Petit.

What a western should be.

An epic story spanning over a half century of enduring love, bravery and perseverance.
I loved the characters and there development as the novel progressed. I admire the western sense of right and wrong and swift justice for those that deserved it…something we could use today.

It's a pretty good story, but it could have ended about halfway through and just turns into A constant sappy mushfest. By the end of it, you will wish you could get about 3 of the 13 Hours back of your life.

out of all the books that I have read I find that this one was the best presented the best story plot and one that I will never forget thank you
