Dying the first time sucked. Matt's trying to avoid a repeat performance. For Matt, joining Earth's last line of defense was exactly the purpose he needed. So glad the next one should come out next month!
First off, that ending cliffhanger was evil... again. It'd be impossible to point out everything I love about this volume, so here's a few things I've noticed. I love how the author never spends too much time on one thing, and even when they do, it's something they clearly spent tons of time on and really put their heart into. Some books can often feel tedious because of this, but here there's almost never a dull moment.
Love the Growing family with Papa Affenoreth, Mama Sorrow, Grandma, etc.
Could never praise or recommend this book enough! Can't wait for that next volume!

Amazing! Can’t wait for the next book!
Extremely talented narrator. Reminds me of a professional dungeon master with her wide variety of accents and acting, and dramatic emphasis makes it engaging to listen to even the most mundane sections, not that there are many of those either. Story is compelling, with intriguing mystery, deep world building, and hilarious antics. Loved it from start to finish.

Love the family
Most the book was great with no part stretching too much. I wish there was achievements though with all the MC does, she'd earn a lot of them.
My favorite part was very much the streamer though. Hope for more from her perspective and not a one off joke.

Narrator’s voice
I listened to most of the book at the same volume (a little louder than necessary) and the book sounded just fine, but at times the narrator’s voice would get so quiet that I had to almost max out my volume to even hear it. I understand that the narrator needs to lower their voice to convey certain aspects of the story, but it shouldn’t get so quiet that hearing the narrator’s voice is that hard.
