Raze is "just" a lowly Gearblin chained to the quest-giver desk at the worst (and only) arcade in town. And that’s a problem for her. It means that she’s a Non-Participating Citizen, someone who can’t see her stats nor make opposed rolls against Heroes. It’s why her life’s worth less than the vendor trash she doles out.

The old-timers swear it didn’t used to be like this; their issues only began once RNGesus went AFK a thousand years ago, leaving the questionably blessed Heroes to conquer everything without consequence. Fortunately, Raze is not about to let something as trivial as a millennium of injustice cramp her style. She’s got a crush on a frustratingly optimistic dreamer who talks her into using the Konami Code as a map to scale the conveniently located and suitably forbidden fortress. And when they reach the top, everything changes.

by far the funniest LitRPG I read in a long time. Oh and more sexual Indiando then you can shake a stick at.

First time listening to litRPG and really enjoyed it. Also rocks that Felicia Day narrates!!

Slow burn builds to a satisfying climax.

An underdog story where the 'monsters' fight back against the 'Heroes'.

Not as funny or cool as it thinks it is

The story tries to be cool by dropping countless pop culture and video game references into a setting where things wouldnt normally exist. This just comes off as weird and the story gets tedious. And while I know this is LitRPG the constant stat results just gets old too. Felicia Day however is amazing and makes it mostly bearable. First book I've heard by her and hopefully not the last.

Continually references real world things for no reason in the story.Starts just ok, ends poorly.

Felicia Day does a great narration and if you are interested in RPG this is a fun story.

Fun story

A fun story. Imagine your in an mmorpg on a quest to kill some little humanoid creature that has been causing an inconvenience. No biggie, right? Now imagine that NPC getting together with other NPCs that were fed up with heroes killing them, abusing them, and just plain looking down on them. Now imagine all those NPCs rising up and taking out all the heroes. That's Rule of Cool.

Felicia Day is incredible at everything she does and this is no exception. She keeps track of all the voices in some pretty intense dialogue. Felicia does a great job of bringing the characters to life. This won't be the best story you've ever read, but you will enjoy it.

dumb story that doesn't take itself too seriously. not terribly unique but I enjoyed it all the same. I may be biased though, always love snarky goblins.

The narrator was fantastic and the book was a fun one off with a ton of nerdy jokes.
