Loved it!

Royal Heart is was an exciting heist romance that I couldn’t not put down. Damon and Ari had all the chemistry even though she despised him for what had happened in the past. They now have tow work together and pose as husband and wife and the heat ignites between them.

Leila Allarie and Sebastian York narrate this book in duet narration. Leila did great at portraying the hurt and anger Ari had for Damon from their past and Sebastian does great at showcasing Damon’s protectiveness and love for Ari. They both gave good performances.

Loved it

Wow, I loved every second of this book. The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life and making me forget the world around me. I am pretty sure this is a Robin Hood retelling and I am here for it. As for the story it was everything I wanted it to be, action packed and spicy. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a fantastic love story and a high stakes heist. Personally I loved it!

Royal Heart is book 6 in the Black Rose Auction series following Damon and Ari and special guest Prince Lucas.

Ari lost her father at a young age to a job gone wrong. He never wanted her in this life. So instead he took on a young, male apprentice.

Damon is the young, male apprentice. He learned everything he could until that fateful day.

That day is embedded in Ari’s mind. She hates Damon for getting her father killed. So when he comes knocking at her door needing her help, her answer is a resolute no. But Damon still plays dirty and he pulls the rug out from under her.

As they begin their journey to recover the Royal Heart, they are stiff with each other. Since they are posing as a married couple they need to be believable. But will practice lead to perfection or will it blow up in their faces?

When a surprise player enters the picture how will these two handle the challenges? This player seems to be a step ahead of them at all stops and it is frustrating. But with Prince Lucas on the team will the tides change?

I love Ari and Damon together. They hate each other and yet are so attracted to each other they can’t think straight.

Seeing Prince Lucas in this story was just pure bonus. And his escapades are epic. He apparently has a thing for climbing through air vents.

Seeing Damon’s brother, Max, get his life on track and work for GT on a recovery team was the final deal sealer.

Leila Allarie is a new narrator for me. I enjoyed her voice as Ari and she is a good blend with Sebastian York. It has been awhile, over a year, since I have listened to a SebYo narrated book. It was such a pleasure listening to him again. I have missed his voice.

Fantastic romantic suspense!

Now this is what I am talking about. Nana Malone comes through with the sixth book of her Black Rose Auction series and plays an enemies to lovers romance with a suspenseful, darkness that is fabulous. Ari blames Damon for the death of her father, and has done everything she can to distance herself from him and the life her father led. Now she is approached to help with a retrieval of a stolen jewel, and she is not only hesitant by at first is not interested. Until she is. And now the two will be working together, in close proximity. Danger, passion, betrayals, forgiveness and suspense all comes in and makes this a fabulous story. Ari is frustrating at times, but I love the way her brain thinks, her determination and her love for Damon. Damon is that kind of man, the dangerous yet impossible not to love, protective and passionate man that is so fun to fall for. This is a great listen and I highly recommend it!

Sebastian York and Leila Allarie are amazing together as they bring this story alive. York is Damon, and he becomes the man. A little dark, a little dangerous and a lot delicious, York nails it. Allarie is Ari, and she dives into the grudge Ari holds, and works hard to keep it. I love how she slowly is won over and the difference in her voice as she loves the heist and the man. It's a great collaboration and a listen that should not be missed.

Great Story

The book kept me wanting to listen, surprised no reviews. I definitely recommend. Pete Simonelli aka Sebastian York was once again AMAZING.

I loved the premise of the book from the get go. High stakes heist?? Yes please. 😏 I think the narrators did a greats job of bringing it to life. Sebastian York is one of my favorite narrators so I was excited to get a chance to review this.

I loved the banter between the MCs. It was funny and you could feel the tension between them from the beginning. Their first kiss was electric, and I knew right away that it wouldn’t be long before these two hit the sheets. When they did it was hottttt. With ALL the ts lol

I haven’t read any other books in this series, but I didn’t feel like that effected my reading experience at all. This was a good stand alone. It was my first read from this author, and I’d definitely check out her other work!

Damon and Ari together again…

This is the sixth book in the Black Rose Auction series. There is so much to enjoy with this audiobook that is a testament to the author’s writing style. The characters are intriguing and there is also the inclusion of a favorite newfound prince that always brings a good time. Sebastian York is one of my go to narrators so it is always a pleasure to my ears to listen to him bring characters to life. Leila Allarie is a new narrator to me, and her voice is a little pitchy. As it is a duet style, the tones at times sound disjointed but the story pulls things along. Overall, this is one spicy and emotional listen.

Entertaining enemies to lovers romantic suspense!

This is book 6 in the Black Rose Auction series, a Multi-author Series. The story is interconnected with the Winston Isles world. I read it, and loved it. I liked this entertaining enemies to lovers romantic suspense. Damon and Ari's story is fast-paced, and captivating, filled with mystery, secrets, action, and twists and turns. The characters are well developed, and intriguing. I enjoyed it. The audiobook version is great! Sebastian York and Leila Allarie did an excellent job bringing these characters, and this story to life. #Valentineprlm

This Nana Malone Romantic Suspense Is A Treat

ROYAL HEART by Nana Malone is Book 6 in the Black Rose Auction series, a series written by six different authors including Katee Robert, RM Virtues, Sav R Miller, Jenny Nordbak, Sara Cate, and, of course, Nana Malone. Damon Hunt had been Ari’s father’s protégé, and had been there when her father was shot and killed when she was a teenager. She had always blamed him for the losses and for never coming back. In the present, Damon Hunt was a highly accomplished thief and Ari worked for a recovery firm as an analyst. When Prince Lucas of the Winston Isles approached Damon to help him recover the Royal Heart from the Black Rose Auction for his brother’s wedding, Damon knew that the only person skilled enough at safe cracking to assist was Ari. Not only did he want her to go out into the field under dangerous circumstances, but she would have to pose as his wife, two positions in which Ari had no interest. But refusing a Winston Isles Prince was not something her boss wanted to do, and Ari reluctantly joined the crew. All the time she was forced to spend with Damon helped her to put some of her resentment to bed and awakened some of the feelings she had harbored as a teen. I was definitely hooked by this steamy, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, fake marriage, romantic suspense audiobook from the very beginning. I enjoyed the appearance of Prince Lucas and Penny, who became Queen of the Winston Isles and the zing between Damon and Ari was delicious. Sebastian York and Leila Allarie were great narrators for this dual POV novel. I honestly haven’t come across an audiobook with Sebastian York that I haven’t loved! If you are a fan of Nana Malone’s Winston Isles series this will be a treat, and if you are not, this will be a small taste of that world. I definitely recommend this audiobook for listeners who enjoy romantic suspense, and give two thumbs up for the audiobook format.
