Great characters

I love books with angst. This was well written with believable characters. Cannot wait to continue Vincent and Eve’s story in the next book.

Vincent Eve

Vincent’s family is mafia and he meets Eve at an underground fight. The MMC finds Eve knowable, spirited and goal oriented. Eve doesn’t live in the best neighborhood, she also does not want to be indebted to the mafia and strides for achievement.

Gripping story line

Kept me on my toes and wanting more, the narration was absolutely amazing and the ending made me purchase the next book

I absolutely loved this book and every one after!!! I loved the characters, their growth, their love…. Just so good!!! This is now one of my most favorite series!

WOW!! Where do I begin?? The blurb caught me and the book didn't let me go. Starting a new book by an author you know and love is easy. Starting a new book by a new author, an Indie author at that, is a bit hard. With so many books out here that I want to read, picking up a new book especially by an Indie author was probably the best and worst thing I could have done two days ago. The best because I truly don't believe this is Jessica Ruben's debut novel. It's truly mesmerizing from the first page to the last page. Kudos!! Eve and Vincent's story is captivating. The author has this magic about her writing that just pulls you in and you start craving her written word more and more the more pages you read. And that ending! Balls to the Wall. What did this author do to me. I literally dropped my kindle & was like what??!!?! This is how you do me. I invested my time and you ended it like this. I warned you. I mentioned it was the worst thing I could have done, remember?!?! You simple crave more. This ending, WOW!!! GIVE ME MORE!!! The worst is the wait!! Please Jessica Ruben give us more, and SOON!!!

The suspense, the angst, all the emotions this book is full of it. Jessica Ruben, you have gained a long time fan. I can't wait to see what's to come. Authors watch out, there's an upcoming RISING Star among you!!

What a great find!

This book was fantastic! Great narration and a great story. Hot mma fighter and an innocent girl just wanting to have a better life. Throw in some hot chemistry and a little mafia/cartel drama and it's chef's kiss perfect. It does end on a cliffhanger so expect to buy more books in the series.
