An Atmospheric Sequel

This is the sequel to Sleepy Hollow, taking place in Philadelphia, Ichabod and Katrina have escaped Sleepy Hollow for Philadelphia, following the death of Brom Bones. Katrina is haunted by visions of the headless horseman, who calls out to her. The author had me hooked from start to finish, same as she did with the first novel. I enjoyed the sequels ghostly atmosphere. This series would make a good movie adaptation.

I dont like the new narrator.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator sounds very congested, like she has a head cold and she enunciates every single D and T in her words to the point of distraction from the story. I don't understand why the girl who read the first book didn't read this one.

Sleepy Hollow Book 2

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Most defiantly! The story was really fun fast paced listen.

What did you like best about this story?

The horseman speaking to Katrina.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I did!

Any additional comments?

This was a wonderful follow up to book 1. I love the horseman's interactions with Katrina and was still left with a few questions at the end. The new characters added a nice touch to the story and bringing back some characters from book 1.

Say whaaaaaaat

I love Katrina and Ichibods life in Philadelphia. In this book it begins not long after their escape from Sleepy Hollow in book 1. Katrina is hiding out as she is a wanted women, she goes by Jane and works in a pie shop. Ichabod going by his middle name Zachary is studying the law and one day they both dream of getting married. I love Katrinas new friend from Ireland Violet. And the narrator is better then book 1 and does a better job with the voices especially her Irish accent with Violet.
The ending was a bit confusing however, as the Horseman had unfinished business with her. And this business did shock me. A quest to find a murderer (this went a bit to fast in my opinion) But in the end there was a happy ending. I am satisfied and am adding this to my audible Halloween book collection.
