Great entertainment & lessions Cival War life

All books in this series capture your interest and desire to know what will happen next. The performance is good and easy to listen to. There are thrilling moments where you don't want to stop listening but there are parts that (in my opinion) are dragged out too long.
I enjoyed this book very much. The proof author's proof of historical facts and use of fictional characters to make facts more real in the first book of series is an added benefit that I really appreciated.
It's a great book set and I may listen again sometime.
Try it.

Wonderful mix of fact and fiction!

This Spy series rate amongst the five best audio books I've ever listened to, and Stephenia McGee's historical research deserves my highest praise! Every chapter had a cliffhanger, and the romantic interludes make this series a "must read"! Brilliantly narrated by Bryn Austin!

The care with which the author integrated historical facts and fictional story.

I very much enjoyed this series. I learned more about the assassination of Lincoln. The author did a good job of intertwining of fact with fiction. I also liked the author’s discussion of how she went about researching and writing this series. I will read other books she’s authored.

Great story with fact and fiction intermingled

A wonderful book giving great historical accounts along with fiction giving way to a suspenseful and fascinating experience.

History Imagined

Historical facts brought to life by 3 imagined heroes who chose the high road. This is a great story of the redemption of wretched souls who become liberated from wayward lifestyles and diminutive thinking regarding slavery.

Enjoyed

I really enjoyed this audio book. I had a hard time turning it off as I was captivated with this story. The main character was a very spunky young lady, having quite the adventure.
I didn't care for George's emotional voice but enjoyed everything else about the book.

really enjoyed these books, book 1 and 2 where my favorites, book 3 could have been shorter but still enjoyed it, just took me a little longer to finish.

Brilliant

This series of books have been absolutely fascinating, it is incredible how I could not have given you a single date about Abraham Lincoln from my childhood history class. My teenage son listened with me and it really brought the story together and made the history lessons from school come to life. He is know wanting to find more historical books that can bring other events from the past to life. brilliant excellent so glad I decided to try these books out.
