Good with some flaws

CAUTION SPOILER ALERT: It took almost half of the book for me to feel invested. The chapters of the book that were read by Dr Beacham often felt out of place, or like an interruption. My biggest issue is that the whole concept of the book is that we have a woman who is passionate about science and medicine. She fights to be able to learn and practice medicine. But then the whole premise of the end of the book is…magic. The concept was cool but it felt like this magic elixir was out of left field.

Loved everything about this book…until the ending. Don’t get me wrong this was a great read! The last final details of the plot just disappointed me. Otherwise I couldn’t put this book down.

Read It!!

This books is amazing! One of my favorite books of the year, with characters and themes that will stay with me for a long time. The narrator is fantastic, and I even enjoyed the conversation with the author at the end. I Wish I could read it again for the first time!

I loved the book, adored the main character, AND the voice actors were excellent! dark enough for my weird soul but uplifting!

worth the listen

Easy listen, great story, not too gory even though it's about grave robbing and autopsy, it's a good mixture of themes and a very refreshing story, narrator is great. finished in a few days doing chores.

Love the podcast, love the book!

I have been a fan of Noble Blood for some time and was excited for Dana Schwartz's first book. It did not disappoint. A great period piece with the right mix of historical detail, love, and mystery. Excited to read the next book!

I recommend this book to anyone who likes a little truth based historical fiction. It was wonderful.

Wonderful book

Loved this book! loved the authors discussion at the end with the narrator of the audiobook.
Enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Storyline was captivating , 19th century

Enjoyed the book itself. I am a fan of 19th century fiction as it pertains to medicine and surgery. I wasn’t super fond of the narrator. Accent was thick and pitch was super high in places and her saying “cook” drove me absolutely nuts. Took me half the book to adjust. I will purchase the next book in hard copy and avoid the narrative version.
