About this listen

My husband hates me. But he’s also the only man who can save me.

Taken by a stranger, Santiago is my only hope. Except that I don’t know if he’s dead or alive. And for as cruel as he can be, the thought he might be gone is unbearable.

But he has nine lives, my monster.

He’s not finished with me yet. And soon I’m back at The Manor. Locked in my room. At his mercy.

I know I am despised. I know I have become the face of his vengeance.

But there’s something else, too. Something between us. It’s a dark and gnarled thing. And it has its claws around my heart.

Evil/Good, but

To watch evil transform extremely slowly toward good-Godly ways, or in a more healthy natural good life of "love" in rather refreshing. A rewarding audible for me to put my time and money into. Author bravo, along with narratives. P. S I hardly ever write reviews.

Awesome read!!!!

This series was Awesome! I’m quickly becoming a fan of Natasha Knight and A. Zavarelli. This is the second series I’ve read by her and she has not disappointed yet.

The anti-hero, Santiago has a bone to pick and he does it by marrying and embarrassing and scaring the life out of Ivy the heroine of this incredibly dark love story. However, he’s mainly bark without the bite. Does he bite, yes, there may be a few triggers for those who have been victims to abuse in the past. So if you’re worried about dark romances getting a little too dark this series may not be for you. Theres some choking, beatings, and other things that could be rough. This book though is the last and final in the series, Requiem of the Soul, starts it all.

The narration was great! I had no problem with that. All in all would read again!

Loved this Trilogy

First I do love a dark romance. This one was really dark in places but so well written that I consumed all three books as fast as I could listen. There are not many series that I will re-listen to. I usually enjoy and then move on but I can see this one I will come back to. Many middle books in a trilogy you leave feeling that it was just a filler book but not this one. It advanced the story well. Some parts I just couldn't put down. I highly recommend this series but only if you like a sexy dark romance. Not for anyone who is looking for light romance. I love dual narration and these kept me so into the story with their excellent work.

LAYERED COMPELLING DARK TWISTED.. & I LOVED IT ALL

This whole Trilogy is an absolute must if you like a dark, deliciously twisted, passion-fuelled, hot n heavy layered stories and has death-threatening chapters. Santiago is a dark tortured anti-hero and Ivy is a naive pawn and prisoner in his world fuelled by revenge and hate.. but lurking deep under the surface lies possibilities that these two hearts will realize they are meant to be together. It’s a compelling, unique, dark rollercoaster that has many unseen layers with twists and turns as the mysterious ominous world of the Society and their Sovereign Sons continues to spin.. and loop.. and thrust.. and drop in death-defying terrifying unexpected moves. It’s fractured in the beginning and it’s fractured in the end and it leaves you holding your breath for what will come next. You have a mind full of questions.. a heart full of hope that love will prevail.. and an all-consuming brain-scream for the final part of this thrilling dark epic Trilogy to be released right the fudge NOW.. ok ok sometime later TODAY - or even TOMORROW at a push.. but absolutely no later than IMMINENTLY.

In this middle slice, Santiago and Ivy’s toxic relationship continues in angry flareups, fuelled hostility and torturous friction after the cliffhanger events that totally halted what was slowly happening between them in Book 1.. warm feelings. Now Ivy is judged guilty of a treacherous crime she did not commit.. now she is cruelly punished without remorse.. now Santiago is threatening to do something outrageous to her.. and now hope fades for happy forevers. But there’s a toxic attraction sizzling between them in their drama-filled dark loveless world that fuels the lust, obsession and hard sex. And salvation is close, impossibilities become possibilities and a deep hunger for more roses.. and then their world, and their feelings, spin and reel yet again as they are sent on another cruel rollercoaster that will leave betrayal, broken trust and another brutal cliffhanger in its wake.

Worth’s credit? Absolutely yes.. it’s a dual POV well-written storyline, it’s a well-narrated, gripping, edge of your seat suspense-filled rollercoaster ride as secrets surface, revelations shock to the core, angst and anger quash all hope and the glimpse of blue skies once again turn into ominous stormy black clouds of doom. This is a dark listen with little hope of happiness.. but Ivy has awakened something in Santiago’s tortured soul.. and new feelings are awakening a heart that hasn’t functioned for years.

Ah!

I just wish these leading characters were smarter. I know that would probably make for shorter stories, but I find myself rolling my eyes at how dumb these people are.

Reparation of Sin

I want to hate this book/listen but I think my disdain is for the STUPIDITY of Ivy! But yet I continue now to book 3 I sure hope it ends there because if not I might just need to check my brain cells to continue this path lol. Is it worth the credit I would like to say “Hell No” but yet here I am again going down the rabbit hole to the next book…I hate angst & cliffhangers and this book definitely has it…Help me I don’t want to go to the next book but my brain doesn’t get the memo and off I go!

Frustrating

They made Ivy's character so naive and a little stupid I just don't understand how she can be aware of the society but be that stupid to think she could trust Abel knowing what he has promised to do to her sister and the evil things he's said and did to her. No woman in their right mind would run to him just makes no sense.
