Soooooo good!

I have read this book a few times but this is my first time listening to it. The narrators were pretty great. Angelina’s voice had to grow on me. I love the raspiness of it. I think she would have been perfect to voice Raven in Power and Rule instead of the valley girl version we got. Raven’s voice was described as raspy, which we certainly did not get.

I love this book in all forms but the audiobook comes out on top. Hearing these performers read this authors words is out of this world. I felt all the emotions and was in awe of their ability bringing this book to life. I loved everything about this book and can’t recommend it enough. It is a rockstar romance that is a must read!

I really liked this story. She is the rock star. When the two come together there are fireworks and often. I really thought maybe Angelina would sing but sadly no. Oh Corvin’s voice is definitely melt worthy.

Ammoooooo

Okay I really loved Ammo and Courtney! They were a hot mess in the beginning and he really made assumptions about her. But SHE got his @ss! He fell first and he fell HARD! The stalker plot kept things interesting, while kind of predictable, but I honestly didn’t mind. I was enjoying the relationship progression and character growth. Was this a toxic relationship at times yep, did I love it?! Yep! Also I’d really love to get Nuke’s story!

I have waited for this for awhile!

I've been waiting for this one to release for awhile. I watched a live with Angelina whe she was narrating and had to get the book.
Story was great! The chemistry between Ammo and Courtney was thick. The sexual tension was over the top. Spicy scenes where 🥵💥🔥.
Narration was epic. Corvin played a great Ammo. His voice portrayed a Rick star perfectly. Angelina is just amazing as always!

Heartfelt

I absolutely devoured this book! I loved Rise but this was a whole new level of perfect emotion and spice.

This book gave me goosebumps on my goosebumps. And honestly I doubt any other rock romance is going to exceed this in 2024.
Let me preface by saying in my teens and 20s I was a rock girl that lived for concerts and I went to college wanting to get a degree to write for Rolling Stone and travel the globe following bands like the guy in Almost Famous. Writing and promoting music and maybe get backstage to meet Dave Grohl who was the sexiest drummer I had ever seen. I have always been a fool for a music industry story; Ask me my fave movie and it would be Star is Born with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. But I digress . What Cassandra Robbins brought to life in Reign wasn't just a love story ;she captured the essence of what happens when a musician falls in love :the inspiration that flowed between Ammo and Courtney was so electric it was palpable. When a musician finds the muse of their life they can feel the music, and see the words flowing in the wind.

Angelina Rocca and Corvin King took this incredible story , these intense emotions and brought these characters to life in such a cinematic way I felt like applauding at the end . The only thing that was missing ..Angelina singing Tricky Love honestly the producer should have had her sing: her voice is made for playing a rock and roll princess. Any 90s girl would listen to Corvin King and be sent back in time to the club listening to Type O Negative ..his voice is made for this role and this performance has added him to my top autolisten narrators.

This book wasn't just steamy ( although I rate this the steamiest book of 2024 so far) it dealt with some hard hitting topics. For Courtney what it was like for her as a child Star to be taken advantage of by a parent , taken advantage of by everyone around her from her best friend to her PR manager. She had no idea how to trust , what love really was. Her general manager puts her in contact with "Ammo" Marshall Adams who was a cross between Machine Gum Kelly and Eminem a rock God who could launch a solo album for her into another stratosphere. He fell first: I know I am going to go back to my kindle and highlight all my fave quotes because his love for her ran so deep so fast. He saw her for the perfection she was from the very first time he heard her voice. .

I would love to see them again in the next book : this couple was absolute perfection.

If you want a spicy rock star romance this book is for you. The narration is great and the story is the perfect swoon worthy escape. I loved the first book and this one is equally as good. I do recommend jumping into the Cassandra Robbins universe for hours of enjoyment.

It all worked out

I would say I was into it after the first five chapters. It went really well. Wonderful voice actors. Maybe the last four chapters I fell off. The interest changed when I felt the plot took another direction. But I was engaged the majority of the time. I hope to see this series continue. The first one I loved.

Seriously so freaking amazing!!

I am in LOVE with this book! It’s so damn good! Corvin’s voice is to die for. I love the story and their love. It makes my heart so happy. Ammo is perfect! Not quite a Dom but still so demanding and will bring you to your knees. This series is great so far, hoping we get Nuke next and I wouldn’t mind a Rafe story too.
