I could do without Emma Galvin in this narration

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Absolutely cannot stand Emma Galvins narration. I picked this book because of Z.Webbers performances in past books have been amazing. IMO Galvins voice sounds like a teenage boy, it's nerdy, nasally, annoying...just awful.

AWESOME

I'm always leery when trying new authors but i'm so glad I did with Jamie McGuire. It words flow smoothly the story is strong and realistic. I do hope their is a sequel to Red Hill. It isn't that the ending wasn't satisfying. It was. I'm just curious what happened to so many great characters.

good book. hard to follow

the story was great. it was hard sometimes to follow who was saying what. Different people narrating the same character, several different voices for the same person

Just Ok

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No. I originally had the physical boo (from the library) but I never seemed to have time to finish it. I purchased this because I wanted to see how the story turned out. I was sadly disappointed.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Ho-hum and pretty anti-climatic. You could tell from the way the story was written what was going to happen at the end. We all knew she was waiting for her daughter. Eventually they would have to show up, right?

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Sure, though I did not like the voice of Nathan. When I read the book, his character seemed kind of "nerdy/brow beaten". To have such a strong male voice narrate his character seemed out of place, and didn't match the story.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No.

I know there is a part two, but I will not be wasting a credit on it. It seems like something that could've been added to this book.

The writer is wonderful, holds your interest. The narrators are about the best there are. LOVE all three. Made me look for more of their narrations. Planning to buy Monsters Among Us!!

Need this.

I haven’t found a good zombie book in a while.i had read Monsters Among Us a long time ago and stumbled across this. Was really cool to read the mother’s story. Definitely a nice addition to my library.

The book starts out strong but then just kind of fizzles out. I like the storyline, and there are some great characters, but I feel like the narration is why the book was as good as it was. If you are looking for ZA book w action, this is not for you. The book skips very important details needed to bring the story to life, and because of that, im not a fan. The ending was rushed for the sake of an ending. i wouldn't recommend it at all.

Loved it! Interesting. But it was similar to many zombie stories. I did enjoy the people's stories.
