Publisher's summary

From USA Today and WSJ Bestselling Author, Amelia Hutchins comes a tale of love, war, and betrayal.

A queen in chaos . . .

A kingdom left in ashes . . .

A fate that may turn to ruins . . .

A king who continually stokes her flames….

What’s a girl to do?

Some women rise from their ashes, Aria tends to be the one making the ashes nowadays.

Aria’s world is unraveling into utterly, beautiful chaos. Will she become the savior the Nine Realms need, or will she become the monster they’ve made?

Are you brave enough to enter the Nine Realms?

There’s a queen rising, and in chaos, she’ll reign.

A note from the publisher.

This book is a true enemy to lover’s tale. It deals with death and adversity. It is merciless, savage, and a view of how broken things overcome against inconceivable odds.

The steam between these two electrifies the audio.

Knox is savagery in motion. Aria is a chaotic beauty. So, what happens when brutality and beauty collide? Aria and Knox burn so hot together that they may well leave the Nine Realms in nothing more than ashes.

My hat is off to the narrators!

It was no easy feat taking over as Knox’s new voice because Troy was irreplaceable. That being said Thomas was a very talented narrator. I for one thank him because we all were really excited about listening to the audio. As for the book..,, I have to say I thought it was going to be half as good as as it was. I missed Knox a lot but it was still our Knox and Aria and who couldn’t love it!

I love these books but

I miss Troy Durand's voice as Knox it's hard to hear another try to be Knox if you've listened to the other books let alone a lot of her others the male voice just wasn't as captivating in this book the girl also came off as whining which is not really realistic when Aria and ember don't usually sound that way

love this book and everything she writes, she is the queen after all.

the voices just aren't doing it for me like the last ones did. their not bad just different. I mainly don't like the fact the new voices pronounce names wrong or different than the other books for instance Hecate is a BIG one for me since it's used ALOT. kinda regretting buying this one on audible sadly but I have all of her books on audible for this series and fae chronicles. I know she was trying to get audio or to is quickly and the original ones weren't available right away but I'm hoping she gets them back! otherwise I may have to refrain from the audio books in the future. or at least make sure the names and things in the book are pronounced the same. It was almost to a dnf point.

Amazing as always!!

❤️I love love loved it! Amazing job, Amelia! Totally worth the wait! To the new narrators I think you guys did an amazing job capturing the personalities of Aria and Knox! Now I’m looking into other books you’ve read while I am patiently waiting for King of chaos! I will also be rereading some of your books, Amelia! Can’t get enough! More more more on audio!❤️

If Amelia writes it, I’m reading it!

I love Amelia. If she writes it, I’m gonna read it. I have the ebook, the physical book and now audiobook. And I will continue to support her. I love, love LOT9R but what I don’t love are the narrators. Performance could be better and it’s just ok. The guy’s voice is flat, no feelings. Sad. The girl, she’s not that bad, better than the guy. Damn do I wish it was Troy and Addison. Troy is superb at narrating for Knox and his brothers. He didn’t have to try hard. It just comes naturally. Same as Addison. She’s amazing as Aria and Ember. With the other LOT9R audiobooks, I can listen to it on repeat but this one is a one and done thing. Can’t wait for KoC!

fantastic book love the narrators

okay ice bee waiting for this book for so long it feels and it was great. some reviews talk about how the narrators are different and how some words are pronounced differently I barely noticed and they did a great job bringing this story to life.

feel like it was a great addition to the story. I am so glad it looks like there will be another book after this.

Troy Duran: Knox growls and character voices are missed terribly 😣🥺😕

Ok, we’re all here for Amelia Hutchins fantastic story telling. I went into listening to this book with an open mind knowing the narrators were changed, but I can’t. I tried to get what I got and not throw a fit, but fit is being thrown. The male narrator was choppy and had weird mood killing awkward pauses that made me go WTF a bunch. Also, what is up with the pronunciation? Are we reading/listening to the same series?? Also, the side character voices, specifically the male characters, were awful. I wanted to hear Lore say come to daddy and Greer (sp) say peasant. Nope, did not get that. The characters were so flat, lifeless and inconsistent. At one point I think Brander has a western accent. The new female narrator was ok, not as sharp and sassy. Ember’s voice was mediocre.
For the love of all that’s unholy, can we start a petition/ fundraiser to have Troy re-record this book?

Give it a chance!

I know it's not Troy Duran and the male narrator does just an okay job, but does Lore and Greer dirty with their voices, BUT Amelia Hutchins herself has said Troy wasn't available and out of her price range. We have to remember when this book was being written, her daughter-in-law was dying of cancer, so go easy on her. NOW, I had read the book because I couldn't wait for this story and it delivered. the heart break and banter is all there. The female narrator did all right, we just have to ignore that they both pronounce Hecate different than the other narrators in the previous books and we can look past that and dive deep into the story. The amount of times "soft curves to sharp edges" comment is a bit excessive. The story is great, I loved it despite the change in narrators. Sometimes you have to get the Kirkland narrators when you can't afford the name brand ones and that's okay. if you've listened to the first 4 books, just read this one. get over the weird voices and love all the characters Amelia Hutchins created. I can't wait for King of Chaos now.

I love the women. Aria and Esme are my two favorite best lesbians. Oh and I can't forget Ember and her silly antics

I dislike....the fact that I can't finish the whole series. Anticipation and cliff hanging truly suck
