Pony has been passed from owner to owner for longer than he can remember. Fed up, he busts out and goes on a cross-country mission to reunite with Penny, the little girl whom he was separated from and hasn’t seen in years.
Penny, now an adult, is living an ordinary life when she gets a knock on her door and finds herself in handcuffs, accused of murder and whisked back to the place she grew up. Her only comfort when the past comes back to haunt her is the memory of her precious, rebellious pony.
Hearing of Penny’s fate, Pony knows that Penny is no murderer. So, as smart and devious as he is cute, the pony must use his hard-won knowledge of human weakness and cruelty to try to clear Penny’s name and find the real killer.
This acutely observant, feel-good mystery reveals the humanity of animals and beastliness of humans in a rollicking escapade of epic proportions.

The narrators killed it (pun intended)!
this book is such a light, breezy, and funny read I wasn’t sure how a book where a pony tries to solve a murder would go, but i loved it! the narrators were SO fantastic. I was grinning like a little kid hearing the different voices and voice modulations. such a fantastic listen!

Spend Some Time with Pony!
What a true delight this book was! Both readers were fantastic, though I must say I truly loved all the voices Blair Young gave to all oof the animals. This story will make you laugh and cry and feel all the feels. An "Odyssey" across the country and into the self. Kudos to Christina Lynch. It was so wonderful to spend time in the worlds of Pony and Penny!

My Hooves Are Dancing!
What a lovely story to make you kick up your hooves and whinny. A smart talking pony saves his now grown rider with the help of rats, dogs, a goat and any number of other creatures. Well read. Not for kids. Who needs a believable plot when you have these lovable beings to ride along with you?Many laughs too. Pure joy.

I want to be more like a pony now
This book is good at making you want to know what happens next. I really enjoyed listening to the different perspectives between Penny and her pony. I recommend listening to the characters and going on this journey with them
