About this listen

One morning, in 2015, a short, blonde, determined, God-loving drunk found her strength, when she woke up with eight staples in her head, and the determination never to drink again.

Pearls and Probation: Adventures of an Alcoholic Good Girl is a story of a hardworking, driven professional who sought goodness in all things, perfection in most things, and acceptance from those closest to her - almost at any cost.

It’s the real life story of drinking, debauchery, daring decisions, and what it took to finally discover true happiness. This one goes out to all of the "Good Girls" whose lives have turned out a bit differently than originally planned.

A hopeful journey

This book is such an uplifting story in the quit lit world. The author shares many personal details but not so many to make it weird lol. It shows that alcoholism can come from many backgrounds. An overall enjoyable read.

worth every second, go ahead take a listen

Listened to this over a 24 hour period. I am easily distracted and super forgetful but this well told story grabbed and held my attention from the start. As a fellow alcoholic I laughed, cried and nodded repeatedly all the while thinking damn she good at telling her story.
This book has great insight for anyone who may wish to better understand the addict or alcoholic in their life.
Bravo, my friend. I see it because I believe it.

Definitely worth listening to!

I really enjoyed listening to Pearls and Probation. It is an aspiring story about a person’s struggle with alcoholism who was able to find the positives in life and turn it around. I’m not a huge fan of audiobooks but I felt like this book was done properly and felt like I really connected with the author by hearing her story. The audiobook was articulated very nicely and you can feel the emotions the author endured during her struggles. I would highly recommend investing in this audiobook and setting aside 3.5 hours to go on this wild journey with Sarah!

Excellent book! Honest and inspiring

I really enjoyed listening to Pearls and Probation. It is an inspiring account of a drunk hitting rock bottom and digging her way out to a life of happiness, service, and recovery. I felt it really demonstrated that the disease of addiction does not discriminate and anyone can become susceptible to it. Fortunately, the program of recovery doesn’t discriminate either and is available to any drunk that wants it.
