I am a yoga teacher and have been studying meditation in depth for the last year. It can be hard to find reliable printed information from sources that have an in-depth understanding of the material. What I love most about this book is that it delivers clear competency about meditation and delivers it in a format that you can easily digest and reference again and again.

I have been a student trying to learn how to meditate for over four decades. v one of the best and clearest teachers of spiritual practice alive today, has given me a gift in this book that makes more sense of stuff I've struggled with than any other book in the field. She practices and teaches Tibetan Buddhism, but is liberally accessible to persons, like me, who come from and follow other spiritual traditions.

Each day contains a quote, a message, and an affirmation for the day. Mornings are always the most hectic for me, but I do feel so centered when I can take a second for myself and listen. This is the perfect solution, as it takes no more than a minute or two to listen through; yet the messages can be deep and thought-provoking and you can easily turn it into a longer reflection by journaling a response to the message. Plus, somehow each day seem applicable to my current situation! So glad I found this little gem.

Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners This is an excellent guidebook. If you have come across this area of focus, and you are ready for it, there is no better introduction to the concept of mindfulness than this book. As someone who's sought a solution to the general feeling of inauthenticity in life, this really explained to me -- in clear, sensible and non "touchy-freely" terms -- what the meaning of mindfulness is, why it is important, how to understand and practice it, and its value for a happier existence.

Easy to listen and effective book. I really liked the time based approach and clear language. I feel like I can meditate now...and it was hard for me to focus before.
