Publisher's summary

A forbidden, Formula 1 romance from New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg.

You don't mess around with a teammates ex. Ever. But that's easier said than done when it comes to Blair Carmichael. She's sexy, intelligent, gorgeous, and one hundred percent off-limits.

And I've never fallen harder.

But I can't touch (when I most definitely want to).

My teams success and my chance at a new contract for next season depend on me keeping my hands on the wheel. And off her curves.

As the season progresses, we secretly steal as much time as we can together in hotel rooms, after races, anywhere we can't be found out. A real romance out in the open would risk her job in the industry, her reputation, and my image not to mention my strained relationship with my teammate.

I've lived my whole life with one mantra. Team first. What I want outside of my racing career hasn't factored in.

Until now.
Until Blair.

She deserves the world and I plan on giving it to her. Even if I have to walk away from the biggest contract of my career.

Full Throttle Series, Bk 3, Lachlan and Blair

Lachlan Evans has grown up with a dream of being a Formula 1 race car driver. With his father's guidance through the years he has worked very hard to keep his eye on the prize and become just that. He's living his dream with the signing of a long term contract in his sights. He just has to have the car and his driving performance in sync this year and that dream will be realized. Keep the eyes on the prize. No wavering from the goal. That is until he becomes friends with his teammates estranged girlfriend and realizes there's more to life then racing. There's Blair Carmichael and the very real need to stay away from her when that's not what Lachlan wants.
This book kept me turning pages and reading well into the wee hours of the morning to see just how this story would turn out. Then once I was done reading it I purchased the audible version and gave that a listen and boy am I glad I did! Gary Furlong (Lachlan) and Stella Hunter (Blair) were amazing narrating this book. I love Gary's Australian accent and he and Stella brought these characters to life perfectly.

Oh, Lachlan...

We're back at the racetrack with an unexpected romance: Lachlan Evans falls (hard) for his teammate's ex! If things weren't already complicated between him and Rossi, they now have the possibility of becoming disastrous.
When they have a nice moment while taking a break at an event, Lachlan is mesmerized by the curvaceous, sweet, funny, interesting, witty Blair. From that fortuitous encounter, to an all night chat where neither realizes morning came (at a hotel bar no less), they soon realize that what they have is special, a once in a lifetime thing they can't ignore. However, being together presents immediate problems for both. He's breaking "the bro code", she would be dating her best friend (and now) ex's "rival" and dating a racer may make Blair look bad in the eyes of her F1 bosses. So many things against them... but there are also sweet kisses, "flowers", peppermint candies and being truly and completely SEEN. Who can resist that?
K. Bromberg wrote the most adorable golden retriever, cinnamon roll book boyfriend EVER. Lachlan is everything! What I most liked about him was how in tune with his feelings he was, making it easy for him to really be able to communicate with Blair.
I also love that Blair is the curvy girl who OWN is. And I love how Lachlan is absolutely driven wild by her body AND her soul. What a lovely book!
Narrated dual style by Stella Hunter, who's amazing as always as Blair (and Aussie Lach) and Gary Furlong. It's (I am ashamed to admit) my first time listening to Gary and he was the perfect choice for Lachlan! He does a subtle Australian accent that is just right . He also gives Lachlan all the swoony vibes and I loved it!

I’m a sucker for a forbidden romance

Lachlan and Blair were too cute for words!! The will they, won’t they had me at the end of my seat and absolutely unable to stop listening to the audio. When Lachlan instilled the 21 day rule, I almost died. When they broke it and the tension erupted, I did die. These two were explosive and so wonderful together. At the end, Rossi redeemed himself, and I really am a sucker for a Redemption story. So you know K. has me on the hook for the next book too!! Gary and Stella absolutely blew me away switching back forth between accents AND voices. Their talent is unmatched in this audio!! You HAVE to go listen right now!!

Love this series! My favorite hero

K Bromberg has written another excellent book. I have now read it as well as listened to it. I loved the characters. Lachlan is now my top favorite hero ever. He is the perfect man, even though he isn't perfect. At one point I wanted to throw my Kindle at him. My heart was racing through out as I waited for the big explosion I expected. Read the end carefully. I misread, which threw me for a loop at first. After listening, then going back to reread, I am a bit happier with the finish. I just wasn't ready for the book to end. I cannot wait to read the next in this series! I have no idea how K Bromberg will convince me Rossi deserves anyone. Yep. I'm hating on that man.

All of the Above

My first foray into a Formula 1 romance and a book by K Bromberg, and I must say, I am eager to read more! As someone unfamiliar with the structure of Formula 1, I appreciated how this book helped me understand the sport better.

"Over The Limit" is a delightful and romantic love story about Lachlan and Blair. Lachlan, a Formula 1 driver, is determined to win a world championship, while Blair is dedicated to her job and gives it her all. Blair has been in an on/off relationship with Rossi for a decade, enduring his mistreatment. However, when Lachlan witnesses how Rossi treats Blair, he becomes furious. A chance encounter between Lachlan and Blair sparks a connection beyond mere flirtation. They fall for each other, but navigating their jobs and avoiding hurting Rossi proves challenging.

What sets this story apart is the stark contrast between how Rossi and Lachlan treat Blair. Lachlan's genuine care and respect for her shines through, while Rossi's actions are deplorable. I also appreciated the representation of Formula 1 in the story, although I would have liked to see more depth in that aspect.

The narration in "Over the Limit" was superb, especially with the dual narrators who flawlessly portrayed the Aussie accents. Stella Hunter and Gary Furlong did an incredible job bringing the characters to life and capturing the essence of their personalities. Their performances added more authenticity to the story, making the listening experience more enjoyable. The way they seamlessly switched between voices and accents was impressive, and it truly enhanced the overall immersion in the audiobook. Kudos to the narrators for their outstanding work delivering exceptional audio performance.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, I did feel that it lacked some spice and wished for more significant events to occur. The ending left me wanting more, as I still don't know if Lachlan achieved his dream mentioned at the beginning. Nevertheless, "Over the Limit" is a fantastic audiobook that captures the essence of romance and the challenges of pursuing dreams in a high-stakes world.

Thank you, Valentine PR, for the opportunity to review this title; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Forbidden, He Falls First Sports Romance

Lachlan has dedicated his life to his racing career. He has always followed the rules, and he's never allowed himself any distractions. Enter Blair, his teammate's on-again, off-again girlfriend. Blair is slowly realizing that staying with Rossi isn't healthy for anyone. Just because she's known him since they were teenagers doesn't mean she can ignore how he treats her anymore. Starting something with Lachlan hadn't been intentional, but how can they ignore it when they both finally feel seen and understood?

I enjoyed this one, but not as much as I liked the first two books in this series. I'm not entirely sure why this didn't work like the other books, but it wasn't a bad addition to the series. Lachlan and Blair were perfect for each other. I loved how the two of them supported each other and how they truly just wanted the other person to be happy. I loved the friendship they developed first and how Blair wasn't afraid to go for what she wanted. Overall, I enjoyed the story and appreciated how everything between Blair and Rossi played out

I will say I was gifted the audiobook, and the narrators did an amazing job with this book. I've listened to Stella Hunter before, and I absolutely love her, so that was no surprise. I didn't realize it while listening to this one, but I've listened to one other book from Gary Furlong and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for other books he narrates.

Wonderful Series

Each book is better than the last one. The books are all able to be read without reading the others. The series is set in the Formula 1 world. Lachlan is a driver on the same racing team as Blair's boyfriend. When Blair has had enough of the cheating and not being treated well, she finally breaks up with Rossi. Lachlan begins to show Blair how she should be treated. They decide to keep their relationship quiet to protect both of their jobs. How will that turn out? I really liked the narration and the Australian accent.

Swoony F1 Romance!

OMG this one was so good! I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't what I got! This one was totally swoon worthy and had me melting!

ALC Review: THE ACCENT! Holy Lord, I was not expecting the Australian accent and I about passed out when Gary Furlong (obviously my first audio with him) as Lachlan started speaking. Also, Stella Hunter has never disappointed me! She was fantastic as Blair! They were a great duo, and really brought out alllll the emotions in this!

Lachlan and Blair are in each other's world as he is an F1 racer, she works with the team and the events, but she is in a long term relationship with his teammate! Blair realizes that the teammate (Rossi) does not respect her or value her, and she leaves him. And when I say this man has ALL THE AUDACITY....!!! I wanted to jump through my kindle at him lol!

Lachlan and Blair have almost instant chemistry, and while neither believe in "instalove", they absolutely feel things for the other QUICKLY! Lachlan tries to slow them down so he isn't the rebound and Blair is certain of what she wants, but that doesn't last long! Can I also say he is total book boyfriend GOALS!! This man had me swooning so many times! He is what dream men are made of!

This one has lots of emotions, & it was so so so good! So much more than I was expecting & I LOVE when that happens! Going to read the first two in this series ASAP!

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘐 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥:
•Holy crap, the narration was excellent!! Stella Hunter did a phenomenal job as Blair. I’m not sure this character would have been as likable without Stella’s influence! Stella handled accents and a male POV with ease. Gary Furlong as Lachlan was a perfect choice!! In a world of male narrators, he’s a consistent gem of a voice actor.
•Essentially, Blair and Lachlan are friends to lovers (my fav) so the development of their relationship was sweet swoony perfection. I loved all the ‘getting to know you’ scenes especially in the beginning. Lachlan said all the right things and FFS, he bought her a book bouquet. Just RIP me.
•Formula 1 race car driving - heck yes!
•A career driven FMC.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘐 𝘋𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦:
•Blair and Lachlan become friends at a time when she is starting to realize that her 10+ year relationship with driver Oliver Rossi has run its course. Oliver is legit 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘵, but I do think this will toe the line of emotional cheating for some readers. •Rossi is so horrible to Blair and for the vast majority of the book, Blair just takes it and romanticizes their history together. This was frustrating.
•Lachlan spent a lot of time in the beginning of the book saying all the things he would do if Blair was his girl, but when push comes to shove, did he though? 🤔 I’m not sure. Rossi is getting his own book in August, and I will definitely be reading it because I NEED to know how the author redeems him. At this point, I don’t like the guy at all so I’m super curious about how the author will turn him into book boyfriend material.
