Při cestě z dolů v Jílovém u Prahy se ztratila truhlice plná zlata. Přeprava nákladu s bohatstvím v hodnotě celých severních Čech byla držena v přísném utajení. Zlato totiž mířilo do rukou rakouských pánů a mělo sehrát důležitou roli ve válce proti uherskému králi Bélovi.

I když se místním po usilovné snaze podaří vraha chytit a odsoudit k smrti na hranici, po čase však nevysvětlitelná úmrtí pokračují. Přemysl Otakar II. dojde k závěru, že spíše než inkvizice pomůže zkušený vyšetřovatel a rozhodne se na Moravu vyslat královského prokurátora Oldřicha z Chlumu. Good for a road trip
A story with some interesting twists, although a few were a bit overdone. Nothing deep, but good enough to pass the time on a road trip.
I particularly liked listening to the section about the Moravian caves. Vondruska definitely has a wide imagination!
