About this listen

The epic finale of the Becker Brothers series. Each book can be listened to as a stand-alone.

It's a man's world.

When I declared sports medicine as my major and every man narrowed their eyes, that saying proved true. It was true when my ex-husband decided I'd give up my career when our daughter was born. And again when I divorced the Chief of Police in our small town, and he made it painfully clear that I could leave him, but I would never be free.

Landing the job as the new athletic trainer for Stratford's high school team is my chance to start over. And walking into a male-dominated sport and staff, I'm ready for the challenge.

I'm not ready for Jordan Becker.

The head coach of our championship winning team is a Herculean force of nature - as severe as he is determined. His icy blue eyes and permanent scowl drive the women in this town mad, and his quiet power and undeniable command conjure respect from every man.

When I join his team, I expect the doubt and anticipate the fight from him. And I get them both.

I don't expect to form a friendship.

And I never expect to fall for him.

My breath catches when those cool eyes fall to my lips. My body comes alive when his is near. And as those lines begin to blur, every warning bell sounds.

My job, my reputation are on the line.

And my ex is around every corner, waiting to remind me of his power.

It's a man's world, and if I want to survive, I can never fall in love with Jordan Becker.

Even if he falls in love with me first.

Kept me busy

I enjoyed this book but almost felt as if the ending was all tied up in a nice pretty bow. Would have been nice to have a bit of a cliff hanger for the possibility of a fifth book.

Cute story, extremely long proposal

I enjoyed the story, for the most part. I really wonder if any men actually go down on one and talk for 5 minutes when making a marriage proposal as I keep reading over and over in various books. seriously? if someone was proposing to me like that I would have to say get to the point buddy. So I didn't listen to the rest of the book, I stopped it during the marriage proposal because it went on and on and on. Other than that, the book was interesting and fairly entertaining, although a bit slow.

5 beautiful stars.

Beautifully written, sucks me in right from page one. This book has everything, greed, jealousy, betrayal, family togetherness and love. I’m sad to see that this is the last book about the Becker Boys, I enjoy reading about this amazing family. Perfect end to this beautiful series.

Great ending to the series

This series was my first read/listen from this author. I really enjoyed the heart she put into every character. As much as I enjoyed the story, I was not a fan of the male narrator in this last book. I didn't feel the connection as well and was confussed a couple of times as to which character was speaking.

overall, I did like this book and I can't wait to listen to more from this author.

A Tale of Tennessee at it’s Best and Worst

Although not a native of Tennessee Kandi Steiner captured small town Tennessee in a very realistic way. The passion for high school football and the crookedness of Tennessee politics hit home with me having grown up there. I will add this to my list of books I read (or listen to) yearly. Takes me home.

THIS WOULD MAKE. A WONDERFUL MINI SERIES FOR TV

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful saga. I wish they would make a mini series of this set of books! All four work together to create a wonder set of live stories surrounded by two great mysteries that are solved in the end. The underlying theme of the greatness of a loving family continues to evolve and thrive. I would love to see a follow up book that shows the family sometime in the future for a get together or better yet one about Paige her senior year or shortly thereafter. This family was so dedicated to living one another and this allowed you to rejoice for them when they finally found happiness with their true loves. I hope I see more in this series!

Great ending to the series, although when does Mom Becker get her story told and great new love?

This was a great way to end the series although I feel like the mom’s story was so left out. She’s just such an integral part of each book, especially this one yet we never hear her side. I think the author must write one more about Mom and give her a happier ending than she has with seeing her kids happy, which is what all Mother’s want. But as a 60 year old women it feels as if there’s a little agism going on if you don’t think older women can love and find love over 60. I thought the narrator did great. I saw some
Comments about him that I thought were somewhat rude and definitely misplaced. He fit the description of Jordon perfectly. Good job DeVante Johnson.

perfection

What an incredible ending to an amazing series. Kandi never fails to impress me with her writing skills but the narration was out of the park and truly brought the story to life. stunning 5 starts!!
