A.K. Evans is Even Better in Audio!

I read A.K. Evans’s “Obsessed,” Book 1 of the Cunningham Security series of romantic suspense back when it released in 2020. The love story between Levi and Elle was amazing, and I devoured every book in the series as soon each new title dropped. I just had the opportunity to experience the story in a brand new way when I downloaded the audiobook, and let me tell you that I was enthralled! While I remember the story well, the audio version brought more steam to the steamy bits and more emotion and danger to this suspenseful story. The fact that I already knew “whodunit” had no bearing on how much I enjoyed the performance. Aaron Shedlock is one of my favorite male narrators out there, so I seemed to find myself hanging on every word that flowed through my speakers. For the most part, Kit Swann did a great job conveying the emotion that Elle was dealing with throughout the story; however, I was honestly not a fan of her alternate voices which sounded strange to me (hence the 4- instead of 5-star rating). Still, this was a fantastic way to experience a love story that I adore with my whole heart!

OMG, finally!!!! Elle and Levi!

OMG, finally the audible version of one of the best series I have read!

This was the first series by AK Evans that I had ever read and I fell in love with her writing at that point! To have this series be released in audible is another thrill for me and I love to hear Aaron Shedlock and Kit Swann so needless to say the audible is incredible!

Elle, a singer but a shy one finds herself being tormented by a stalker and it gets to the point to where she goes to Cunningham Security for help and Levi pops in.
Levi can’t understand why he is so drawn to her but her safety is his number one priority! To keep her safe and to allow her to continue doing her job she loves so much goes on the road with her to help keep her safe but who knew that she would be attacked in her own home town!

I can’t wait to hear the rest of this series!

Can read over and over and over again..

I have read this book multiple times, but it doesn’t matter.. still find little things I missed the other times.. and there is something different about h I gnit read to you.. loved it all.. always so happy for the HEA!! And so love that it is a series!!!! And to get the glimpses of the previous couples in the next books.. and love that each series leads into another series..

Intro to Cunningham Security!

3.5 out of 5 stars! I enjoyed this book.

Elle and Levi were friend adjacent; they knew each other through friends. They were attracted to each other but didn't act on it. When Elle feels unsafe she immediately goes to Cunningham Security. Levi comes to her rescue. From that moment on, Levi does whatever it takes to protect Elle and shoot his shot. Their coupling was almost too easy or maybe Levi was just too alpha. The stalker...PLOT TWIST... was so unexpected. Jealousy can really bring the green monster out of people. What was hurtful for Elle was the trust she put in this person. Kit Swann and Aaron Shedlock did an amazing job with narrating this story. They exuded the personalities so well!

Danger and suspense meld with Levi and Elle's love

This story grabbed my attention from the start. Danger and suspense meld with Levi and Elle's love story as they finally give in to their attraction and find forever. I admit I was screaming "wake up, see the light " in my head as I placed my bets on who the evil stalker was early on, but that did not deter from how invested I was in the ride. I loved how dedicated, sweet and protective Levi was...sigh...if only these guys existed in real life. And I liked how Elle grew in her confidence and strength. As a woman who is very independent and self reliant, I loved seeing Elle strive for that in herself. Narration was great, bringing the story to life and making it hard to hit pause for real life.

Obsessed by AK Evans is the first book in the Cunningham Security series! It was about Levi, owner of a security agency, and his good friend Wes’ little sister Elle, a singer. Both had met before and felt a strong magnetism for each other. Levi decided in their previous meeting not to act upon their attraction for each other. Elle discovered that someone had broken into her home and left a threatening message with a fan headshot photo of her. Elle seeks out Levi at Cunningham Security when he decides not only to take her to her case. but that she would stay at his home in a spare bedroom. Their attraction grows as it becomes obvious Elle has a stalker. Levi goes on tour with Elle, with two other bodyguards joining them. Obsession is action-packed with suspense and one incredible love story. It is a page-turner that one has to read every single word until the last page—another outstanding security romance. There are ten books in this series, and I can’t wait to read each one. Obsessed is available in audiobook form narrated by Kit Swann, and Aaron Shedlock. I loved the emotion projected by the narrators, so get your earbuds ready and listen to the banter and drama come alive with the readers.

Romantic

I originally read this book as part of a box set. It was absolutely wonderful. When I discovered this author and I couldn’t read her books fast enough. This series is fantastic. Loved the romance and sense of family. If you prefer audiobook, the narrators Kit Swann and Aaron Shedlock did a wonderful job of making you feel you were living the story. At the beginning I was not sure I was going to like Aaron as Levi, but he won me over early on.

Cunningham Security finally on audio!

I read Obsessed when it first came out and I LOVED Levi and Elle's story in ebook form. After I listened to the latest Harper Security Ops book I decided I wanted to go back and visit the Cunningham Security team. Luckily the audio version was just released and it is FANTASTIC! Kit Swann and Aaron Shedlock do a wonderful job narrating this story. You get to listen to all the different emotions Elle is facing with her stalker and each of the antics as they go along. Plus her falling in love with Levi. Even though I already knew the stalker from my previous read of the story, I was hoping listening to the audiobook would give me clues on the identity that I may have missed the first time around. But A.K. Evans wrote this story in such a way that I, as the reader, was just as shocked as Elle. If you haven't been able to meet the Cunningham Security team, I highly recommend either reading or listening after the Everything series as those characters become side characters in this series. However, this series can be read alone without those stories but I do love how all of the series are tied to friend/family ties!!!

A good start to a promising series

This audiobook introduces the listeners to the Cunningham Security Series. One that promises to keep this listener engaged.
We are introduced to the men of Cunningham Security, and this story belongs to Levi Cunningham and rising musician Elizabeth/Elle Blackman.
Elle has big plans for her career and is thrown off guard when she realizes that not only someone has entered her apartment, but also appears to be stalking her.
Realizing she needs professional help, Elle reaches out to Levi , the same man she’s been crushing on for a while.
Determined to keep her safe, Levi and his men go to work. What he didn’t expect is the attraction to Elle. One that might have him blurring the line between his professional and personal lives.
Their chemistry is off the charts. One that seems to cause the stalker to become more dangerous.
Will Levi and his team be able to keep Elle safe? If they do, what will happen to their relationship?
The audiobook was a good introduction to the series and the rest of the members of Cunningham Security. Individuals likely to be getting their stories in the near future.
The narrators Kit Swann and Aaron Shedlock manage to bring the story to life.

A Stalked Rockstar Finds Love

Elle finds someone has been in her bedroom while she was out and runs to Cunningham Security that Levi owns. They had an attraction to each other, but Elle's brother, who is Levi's friend, puts a stop to it. As the stalker ramps up the threats, Elle and Levi draw closer together. Forced proximity is one of my favorite tropes and I love this book because they communicate their feelings with each other.

I read the book last year and I have to say, Kit Swann is one of my new favorite narrators. She kills it. I don't remember the emotional impact from reading that I got from Kit's narration. She kills getting the emotions right on spot in all the situations and when she reads the steamy parts, your speakers start to melt. Aaron Shedlock did an excellent narration for Levi.
