Publisher's summary
Sometimes doing a good deed can go horribly wrong...
My name is Linda Almond and I am an interior decorator in New York City and elsewhere. I bought a small home in Portland, Maine, to renovate for my future retirement, but now that I've bought it, I can't afford to retire...or give up my Manhattan loft that I have lived in since the early days of Soho in the 1970s. I am single and I used to have several cats, but they have passed on and I haven't replaced them because I've been doing so much traveling. I have two good friends, Janet and Stan, who moved to Maine before me. I am glad to have them already there as friends in a new place. One day, Janet calls me from Portland and asks if I can do her a favor.... Can I look after a friend's cats....

Story
Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. Because in this town, privilege and opulence go hand in hand with betrayal and revenge. Jenny, the owner of Glow, an exclusive membership-only beauty salon, knows that better than anyone, because she knows everything about these housewives—down to each individual strand of hair.

I Enjoyed this Short Story
I really enjoyed listening to this short story. It left me wanting more. I found it sad the cats passed away after their owner, but happy in the thought that they're all happy and together again.

Mad
I enjoyed the story up to a point where it just made me so mad that the ending was written the way it was.
