GREAT SERIES!

I am really enjoying this series. There was plenty of action and drama! The narration was great and kept me entertained. The author did a great job with the character builds and plot. This was my first book by this author but definitely not my last. I can't wait to read the next book! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Very exciting and intense series

Disclaimer: I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. An intense and exciting scifi read, the book started out strong and fast, Greg Dragon launches us straight into action at the very start. Despite being thrown in headfirst like this, I was not confused when listening and it made the experience very fresh. Feels like I was watching a movie. His world creation is wonderful, the visuals of the book are all very strong and it feels like I am a part of the world, experiencing it alongside the characters. I also really like the characters and have grown attached to them greatly. I like how vastly different the characters are, and their development throughout the book, including their backstory and how it resulted in how they are. Moving between the books was also exciting, the introduction to new characters, how the characters relate to and affect each other, plus the layers within the book, of politics, races and the war really sets the whole world very well. It also allows for a lot of thinking, I like that Greg created worlds that have elements that pushes it apart, not too foreign, yet alien enough to be frightening and intriguing. Overall it was a good book for me, I still think about certain scenes a lot after finishing the book. Narration by Cari Scholtens is incredible. She brought forth the characters in the book wonderfully, as well as emotions and tension within each scenes.

Action Packed Space Opera

I revel in science fiction stories with likeable, relatable, original, memorable characters; characters which are flawed or have to struggle to rise above themselves or their circumstances in order to become the best authentic version of themselves. This is such a series. The characters were quite engaging; I especially enjoyed the character growth of the heroine of the series. The storylines were exciting with plenty of action, intrigue and betrayal. The audible presentation of books 1-3 was exceedingly entertaining and provided me with hours of listening pleasure. I was provided a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this review.

bland

Bought this because of it being a block of books. It is very well read. The reader does a great job with her characters. That is why I finished it. A bit of time should have been spent on this universe. It made for some confusion while trying to figure out things. There were stupid things. Our MC, is going on her first mission. It is assummed she is trained. That training 'should' include fitting, wearing, use of her battle suit. Yet it starts out with her being fitted and recieving what seems like basic instructions. One moment Helga is doing great. The next she is doing something stupid. The books aren't bad. However they do not motivate me to continue the series.
