Nothing contributed by this author of any original thought. 8th grade reading level. Just my opinion.

Meh..

the writing is amateurish - reads like a high school paper more than a learned history.

not a historical text

This book helped get in touch with my native roots. I highly recommend it .

It is true that the native Americans have been greatly mistreated It is also true that many people are unwilling to fully acknowledge the depth of this travesty. This bias thinking makes it difficult to find the truth.

Unfortunately, the author is heavily biased in the opposite direction. This book does provide some useful information, but the reader needs to be aware that many things presented as facts are just the author’s opinion.

People, of course, sanitize history to either justify their actions or to support their ideology. And it is very obvious that a lot of our history has been sanitized. Unfortunately, the author of this book is also very guilty of sanitizing history in the opposite direction to support his/her ideology.

I have listened to over 25 audiobooks from Captivating History, and I found that they were fairly well balanced and factual. This book is neither. I’m very surprised that Captivating History had made this book part of their collection. I hope that they do not continue producing books that are so void of substantiating facts.

The author is heavily biased

Half finished sentences, more of synapses then a whole story, would not recommend this book

Only get half the story.

I was hoping for a balanced history of Native Americans, both the good and bad. But this was like listening to Fox News talk about the Democrats, or MSNBC talk about the Republicans. The book was so distractingly biased that I became a bit skeptical of the "facts" that were presented and wondered what contradicting facts were deliberately left out or glossed over.

Distractingly biased

This is much more about how the Europeans and Americans treated the Native Americans (badly) and less about how the Native Americans lived and their history (which is vast).

Not much about Native Americas
