Terrible Narrator / Valuable Insight

It’s unfortunate, the narrator does the author a huge disservice. The author has very good insight into the subject but the narrator has no concept of punctuation nor how to say many common English words. Her performance really takes away any feelings of hope or healing because you’re so focused on trying to translate what she’s saying.

Some helpful chapters

This book was okay. The reader made listening to this book difficult because she was unable to pronounce quite a few words including Narcissistic. I’m sure you can imagine how many times that word arose. As a professional reader I would think pronunciation would be paramount. This reader struggled to pronounce words used daily and it was incredibly distracting. The book itself had some useful information, but I was constantly pulled out of concentration by the reader.

Might be better to read the print version

The narrator repeatedly mispronounced words. At times, it was just distracting but other times this made it very confusing. There were pieces of the text that I suspect were narrated incorrectly because they simply did not make sense. If I decide to give this book another try, I will get the print version.

The Narration is sooo bad I thought it was a joke

Ok. I read another review saying the narrator mispronounced words wrong. I should have heeded the warning! I got used to hearing narcissist mispronounced, but she also couldn’t say ever day words correctly. I think the narrator had no idea what she was reading. I think it would be comical to actually read the book while listening to try & figure out what the author is trying to convey. Please have a different person read this book. It doesn’t seem to be available in print.
