Romantic Comedy with some laugh out loud moments

I fell in love with Jake right away. Avery was a bit much at times and stubborn. But the author did a good job with the whole inner monologue for her reasons....even though annoying at times but truthful to how some women can't help but get in our own ways.
The comedy was good. Some scenes had me laughing so hard....one of them I had tears from laughter.
The female narrator does a good job sounding like a diva which made the performance so believable. Troy Duran as the male narrator is just perfect...I mean it's Troy Duran after all....enough said.

Fun

This was a solid read always enjoy this author and even if I can’t identify with the characters I always feel invested in their story.

So unexpected

This book definitely does not start out like a romance, but along the twisted roads these characters find themselves on, love does start to blossom. Although they both try their hardest to fight the attraction, there is just something between Avery and Jack that is undeniable.

The beginning is hysterical! I like how the female character was more confident and began to understand what she deserved in her life. Good listen.

Not a favorite, but still worth reading

I am not sure why I ended up liking this less but I think because I had a confusing start on this one? Meaning, I felt that the first few chapters had a jumbled turn of events I found myself lost in what’s going on in the midst of listening to it. May e if I read it the traditional way it would have been better? I am not sure. I even missed the impact of that plot twist revelation! I think I would’ve been shocked had I read it instead of listening to it.

I am not saying here, though that this is not good in audiobook format. In fact, the performance were great. The narrators did a great job performing this I enjoyed reading it. Perhaps because our heroine here is your typical diva who lives off on the wealth of her boyfriends. However, despite that trait of hers, in a typical Jewel E. Ann fashion, we see here how she matures as a character and that never fails to amaze me.

I guess it wouldn’t matter in what format you’d prefer to read this one. If you like how this author writes, this is still worth checking out.

I am obsessed

JEB is just fire! I love her slow burn romances, I love the depth that she brings to each of her characters so you really grow to love them. You will laugh, cry, cheer, get mad, etc while reading her books. I’m officially hooked, can’t stop won’t stop!

absolutely adorable

highly recommended. loved the cat and mouse flirting between Jake and Avey. the distaste yet irresistible draw she has on him. the struggle to keep her uppity attitude despite her attraction to him was simply adorable.

Fantastic love story.

I wasn’t expecting Avery Montgomery’s book to be as good as Sidney. The love Jake and Avery shared was raw, honest and pure. I laughed at Avery’s quirks, the love she had for her sister Sidney and her family and Sidney’s dog, Swarley, her obsession over the finest things in life and the fact that she kept picking herself up. Jake was the epitome of book boyfriend even though he had some unresolved issues, he fell unexpectedly in love with Avery. It was beautiful to watch them realizing that they were in love. Another exceptional story by Jewel E. Ann.

This is a hidden gem!!

I loved this story! I haven’t laughed this hard listening to a book in a long time! Loved it! Both narrators did a fantastic job! Get this book! You won’t regret it!
