Weird Story but Interesting

Kids of a famous devout father have been manipulated to believe their mother is an issue. The kids try to change the mom while keeping secrets from the dad, his new wife, and the neighbors.

I think the story is a great exploration into toxic relationships and family dynamics. The men who seek infantile women and how it affects the kids in the long run.

no real twists but a good listen

middle. interesting the entire way. but predictable. Could have easily went to the dark side

lord of the flies but did not go any where near that far or interesting

the little boy. could have really made the story different. Almost did but not quite.

Narrator nearly ruined it

Second book by Gillian White I’ve read (and loved). I can’t imagine why this narrator was chosen. Seemed all wrong to me; seemed not to even have any familiarity with the text. Still 5 stars overall because I did love it.

Dark “comedy”…???

4 hours in and there hasn’t been a single thing I felt into the description of dark comedy. Dark, a little bit…. But comedy?— none. The storyline has potential but OMG I was practically losing consciousness while listening to—- sooooo boring. Glad it was free & I didn’t waste my credits.
