He expects the people of Watervalley to be simple, but finds his relationships with them are complicated, whether he’s interacting with his bossy but devout housekeeper, the attractive schoolteacher he consistently alienates, or the mysterious kid next door who climbs trees while wearing a bike helmet.

When a baffling flu epidemic hits Watervalley, Luke faces his ultimate test. Whether the community embraces him or not, it’s his responsibility to save them. And he’ll soon discover that while living in a small town may not be what he wants, it may be just what he needs....

Wonderful and Refreshing Story of a Small Town Story

Loved the voice reading the book and Loved the manner in which the story moved!

The story is very reminiscent of Northern exposure where a new doctor is transcribed to serve a remote town however, in this case the story is serious and heartwarming

Sweet story of a small town

When the doctor comes to town smelling of booze and without his pants on, I’m sure the town is worried about just what they’ve gotten themselves into. But through the friendships and challenges all around him, whether he recognizes them for what they are or not, Doc Luke Bradford learns what it means to serve as a GP where everybody knows his name and everyone else’s business. It’s a sweet story of finding oneself in a place where, for a while, one was alone and feeling completely out of place.

Great storyline!

Loved the narrator’s ability to capture voice and personality of each character in every scene. Made it easy to visualize what each person would have looked and sounded like. Story line was exciting, captivating and heart warming capturing all the high and low points of what it’s really like living in a small town.

Wonderful story!

I’m looking forward to hearing more from Watervalley. The author brings the characters to life.

A story that kept you intrigued and interested throughout. Good narration and storyline. can’t wait for the next one to come out on audiobook. PLEASE!!!

Charming from Beginning to End

Small town charm at its best. Great writing and wonderful characters. I fell in love with Water Valley, TN. My only disappointment is this seems to be the only audible book in the series. The performance was intoxicating—couldn’t get enough of this book!

Probably my favorite audio book so far!!

This was wonderful!! Hopefully the sequels will be available at some point!! Completely a feel good book - positive, funny, light & a precious read.
