interesting take on world history and the vampire myth

overall the story was really good. It was unique take on the hierarchy of vampires but also interesting how the author approached other creatures/beings from mythology. It was a pleasant surprise running into beings besides vampires in this story. The first half of the book sets up the exposition like normal but around the second half everything pops off and you don't want to stop listening till it's over

Satire, Romance, and Action

More than a Vampire puts a whole new unique spin on any vampire book I have ever read/ listened to. The storyline not only deals with the romance between two vampires, but it also has elements of other species such as trolls, werewolves, giants, and a chupacabra. Simon's journey to save his Lady love will take him on a journey to make deals with Gods such as Odin. I was very impressed with the writing and narration because of the mixture of realism and humor.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves satires about vampires. The story does have a little gore, but it is manageable. The narrators, in conjunction with the story, hit a home run and brought the story to life and made me invested to want to know how it would end. Bravo, Bravo. The story is fast-paced and action-packed and hard to put down.

More than a Vampire

This was an exceptional read!I did not want to put it down. Simon is a vampire who falls in love. Of course there are good and bad vampires and gods and goddesses who do not want love to happen.Things happen, other religions make appearences. It is vaery cool. Narration by Benjamin Crow, Kirsty Geddes was wonderful.I I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Vampiric executioner falls in love

Not just a love story, but the interaction adds so much to this tale. I loved everything about this book, except for the cover. I feel like if it had something with some color or maybe even seeming vampiric in some way it would help pull attention to it.

The story is exciting and the characters are genuine people that you will care about, these are some three dimensional examples of what writing can be like if done properly. The book is full of action and blood, and the male female team of Benjamin Crow, Kirsty Geddes makes it so great. I look forward to book 2.

Surprisingly good story and narrator

This came up in my recommendations and I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did, as this was an imaginative and fun take on the vampire genre.

History with a fun blend of supernatural

I had an absolute blast reading More Than a Vampire, it couples a really fun story with actual historical events that grounds it, and it's especially fun if you try to guess the historical figures before they are presented. The book is told with lots of energy and never lets up the entire time. Not to mention, both narrators absolutely nailed it. You know you have a good narrator when you forget about them and it's pure story.

Really surprising fun.

I did not know what to expect but this was fun. I've become a huge fan of stories that take mythology and/or religion and just play with them. History is a background against which the characters are woven. On top of that exceptionally entertaining premise, the heart of this book is a love story.

I had never heard of Benjamin Crow or Kirsty Geddes and they are brilliant 👏🏼.

Why not

I am a vampire enthusiast and love getting lost in the world of fantasy and unlimited extreme. Don't pass it by Love it!
