Critic reviews

"An essential read for overwhelmed moms, especially those who still believe the reason they can't "keep up" is because they are somehow inadequate or not doing enough of the "right" things. Every mother deserves to be unburdened of status quo modern motherhood, and Alyssa spells out practical, accessible ways to lighten our load and enjoy motherhood more." - Beth Berry, author of Motherwhelmed

Necessary for Moms experiencing Mom Burnout and Self Guilt

I very much enjoyed this audiobook. As a mom of three little ones, I felt like the author was speaking to me. To see my feelings of inadequacy and judgement and guilt not only recognized as "normal" but then to also be reassured that it's ok and also necessary to take time for yourself as a mom was very much needed. The narration was great and I loved how the author broke everything down. Some of her stories we also very funny. As mother's we are not only fighting what society tells us we need to be to be "good" mom's but we are also fighting an internal battle. This book gives us some tools we can use to better understand motherhood and work on ourselves so we can be better for not only us but a better example and role model for our children. Excellent job. Thank you for not speaking at me but to me. I enjoyed this and would recommend it.

Hits home

Mommy needs a minute... or two... actually give me a few hours! This book is so beautifully written and I find myself saying "so me" with every point Alyssa makes. I believe this is every first time mom's must read, knowing all the demands on us are not unique to them, but all millennial moms. There is no easy way to motherhood but at least we can all know we are not alone!

Truth but not enough solutions.

Everything she said is true and although she offered some solutions it wasn’t enough. It felt a little rushed and summarized. I will definitely recommend and enjoyed it.
