Molly was born in 1850. She had a tragic beginning to her life, and at twelve, she ran away. Molly, a fallen young woman, and Ethan Longstreet, a God-fearing man, were the most unlikely couple, but God had a plan for them. Jeremiah 29:11 says God always has a plan. “Molly Malloy” would have been a short story if only she had believed why Ethan rescued her from Jake. Even though Ethan knew everything about Molly, he never stopped loving her, so he pursued Molly—as Hosea had pursued Gomer—with forgiveness and unconditional love.
