Background Sounds Very Distracting

Stephen Fry was an excellent narrator, as always. However, I found it hard to concentrate on, or even hear, what he was saying because of the loud sound effects/background noises. I tried turning off my phone's Dolby Atmos but it didn't help.

Fantastic Narration, Disappointing Tales

I am a huge Stephen Fry fan, but most of the stories just didn't move me. I appreciate that these tales are largely designed to intrigue rather than horrify -- and that's what I was looking for -- but the majority just didn't captivate me the way some other ghostly stories have.

A wonderful taste of classics

Stephen Fry's narration is a guaranteed satisfactory experience as always and provides the right amount of gravitas and nuances to depict dread and horror.
The story themselves are good, product of their times so it is up to the individual taste.
All in all great audiobook!

Spooktacular audiobook by one of my favourite narators. The Dolby sound feature added to a great audio experience.

I could listen to Stephen Fry read ghost stories until my untimely expiration.

Classic stories brought to live by Mr. Fry and some lovely sound design. I only wish there were more to come.

This has been added to my yearly reads/listens.

I have mixed feelings regarding writing reviews — as I think they detract greatly from a readers willingness to take a chance on a new story. Opinions always differ, so why rely on someone else’s versus just taking a chance and making my own?

There was very little chance needed here. I saw Ghost Stories and Stephen Fry. That was all that was needed and I was not disappointed in the slightest. Highly enjoyable in every way…and I must confess, some of these spooked me. And I do not spook easily. It wasn’t just the stories themselves, but how they were told.

If there is another of these in future, a part two if you will, I will immediately buy. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Oh and the sound effects? A very nice touch.
