About this listen

After spending 10 years and thousands of dollars for psychoanalysis, actor Orson Bean was divorced, depressed, and dissatisfied with life. Then he discovered medical orgone therapy, a unique method of treatment developed by Wilhelm Reich, M.D. This therapy is centered on the concept that sexual feelings must be integrated with tender feelings of love for an individual in order to achieve complete sexual satisfaction. One must be free of emotional and physical blocks in order to experience such feelings.

Here is the candid, deeply personal story of Orson's experience with orgone therapy and how it triggered his own sexual revolution. Almost immediately, he realized that something unusual and quite miraculous was happening. Orgone therapy transformed his sexual response, his relationships, and his entire life, bringing him a "second chance" at the best life has to offer.

Human share

What sensible story
Reminds me of Art Linkletter book where a villager had for decades removed small rumors with a pen knife rins true from every angle.

Brilliant!

I got so much out of this book! And it was really wonderful to hear it read by the author himself.

Great book

Never knew Orson Bean was so involved. I keep thinking organomy was fringe but it is surprising to see how many are involved

Fascinating

Loved learning more about Orgone treatment. The author could’ve left behind the sexual comments though.

Fascinating

OK. So now I understand the essence of the teachings of William Reich and orgone therapy. Thank you, Mr. Bean.

nothing to do with orgone energy or devices

I couldn't finish this book. it wasn't at all what I was expecting from previous research of Orgone energy and Wilhelm Reich. this book is about the guys therapy sessions. nothing to do with orgone devices. I don't know if I missed something or what but It was just about him being tortured by a psychiatrist in his office, which was a practice of Reich's, but I believe they were in the Oregon box.
