About this listen

Now a USA Today best seller!

This isn’t how fairy tales typically begin, but it’s where mine starts....

No money, no phone, and abandoned on the streets of Chicago. With my baby in my arms, I wander into a bar in a shady neighborhood and ask to use their phone.

When my father turns us away and completely disowns me, the bar owner, and total hottie, offers us a place to stay...no strings attached.

I’m leery at first. Hot alpha guy. Down-on-her-luck single mother. I mean, who wouldn’t be?

Lucio Gallo isn’t like most men, though. He’s fiercely protective, loyal, and, did I mention he’s covered in nothing but muscle?

Above all else, he’s everything I need but never knew I wanted.

I needed this

I really did need this because I was getting really tired of the meet, be torn apart, drama, and get back together of romance. This one managed to have a storyline and they didn't have any drama or break up. This is really good and easy on the nerves. I enjoyed both narrators and think they did a great job

Good story, very relatable

Although the story is great, one credit for a five hour book seems like a lot. I'm sure several people can definitely understand about the horrible parents and feeling totally abandoned. Another Gallo guy from the other side of the tracks...so hot! I appreciate the use of two narrators and both did a good job but Lance Greenfield was amazing! Erin Mallon was good but the way she extends the ends of all her words is annoying to listen to. Now that I think about it, five hours of elongated words was enough!

Very good

Very unrealistic but still a very enjoyable listen. It’s nice to escape and dream sometimes. The narration made thus book very enjoyable as well. I only gave it 4 stars because men like the guy in this book just don’t exist. Sigh

Loved the story and the narrators

This book is at the top of my favorite Chelle Bliss books ever. There is just something about Lucio Gallo and Delilah Miles. This book may be low on the drama scale (which is a nice change for me) but it is not lacking on the intensity and hotness levels.

Delilah is down on her luck with her baby daughter Lulu. She stumbles into Hook & Hustle not knowing that her life will forever be altered from that point on. This is Lucio's bar and she asks to borrow a phone. She gets way more than she ever thought possible. She finds herself thrown into the Gallo family and all of their intensity, craziness and abundance of love.

Lucio knows that there is just something about Delilah and he wants to get to know her better. He is instantly connected to her baby girl, Lulu. Just imagining this big guy with all these muscles being so sweet with a baby was just beautiful. This man is insanely hot and you can easily imagine that the cover model on this book is Lucio. Lucio is now my new favorite Gallo...Sorry City.

As amazing as Delilah and Lucio are, the secondary characters are equally amazing and I am so excited to read more of this new series. Can't wait for everyone to get their own book. I need more of this family now.
